FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY
In the Matter of
PARKING REGULATIONS O R D E R
WHEREAS:
1. Since the construction of the new Justice Building, the
description of Lot "D" in Exhibit "A" to the order of the Board of
Commissioners regarding parking regulations for the County Courthouse
property dated November 16, 1976, has become obsolete, in that
additional parking spaces have since been added; and
2. ORS 275.420, .430, .440 and .990 provide for the adoption
of County parking rules and regulations, prohibit violation of them
and make such violations a misdemeanor, it is the intention of the
Board of Commissioners to regulate parking pursuant to the aforesaid
sections in all parts of the County Courthouse parking lot; and
3. It is found that due to inflation, the parking fines provided
in Section 7.3 of the Order do not provide an adequate deterrent to
unlawful parking;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:
1. Exhibit "A" to the Order of the Board of Commissioners
dated November 16, 1976, in the matter of parking regulations is
amended as follows (deleted words are in strike-out type, and added
words are underlined):
"The West fifty (50) feet of the South one hundred fifty {189}
(150) feet of Block 7, North Addition to Bend, Deschutes
County, Oregon."

2. Section 7.3 is similarly amended as follows (deleted words
are in strike-out type and added words are underlined):
"7.3 Penalties:
(1) The recommended penalty for the first citation for
violation of this ordinance shall be $-59 $2.00, which shall
double each 24 hours up to four days, and which may be paid
as a bail for forfeiture. If not paid at that time, a
warrant maybe issued by the District Court to the violator.
(2) The recommended penalty for the second offense shall
be $1799 $4.00, which shall double each 24 hours up to four days,
and which may be paid at that time. If not paid at that time,
a warrant may be issued by the District Court to the violator."
