Right-of-Ways. )
The Board of Commissioners of Deschutes County, a political subdivision
of the State of Oregon, ordains as follows:
That Deschutes County Ordinance #203'7,"an ordinance of Deschutes
County regulating Utilities within Deschutes County Right-of-way, is amended to
read as follows (parts in parentheses are deleted, parts underscored are added):
Section 3.620 is amended as follows:'
3.620. PEDESTALS, METERS.., Pedestals and meters installed as
part of a buried.cable, water or gas installation.ave to be
located one foot from the right-of-way line unless special
permission is obtained from the County Engineer (Administrator)
tolocate elsewhere. In no case shall the pedestals and/or
meters be located within the County road maintenance operating
area, including mowing operations, or nearer the pavement
edge than any official road sign in the same general location.
Except for the foregoing amendments and deletions, Deschutes
County Ordinance #203-7 shall in all other respects remain in full force and
effect.
The Ordinance amendments herein set forth are hereby declared to be re-
quired by an emergency, to prevent further improper installations of pedestals
and/or meters, and shall take effect immediately upon the date of their adoption.
