27-477-Order Recorded 6/21/1978IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of File No. Z-78-16 ) Zone Change Request by Evergreen ) Industries, from R-1, Single-family) 0 R D E R Residential to R- 2, Multi- Family ) Residential ) VOL 27 PAGE 477 This matter coming before the County Board of Commissioners upon the Planning Commission's recommendations, who held a public hearing on this issue, May 24, 1978, and recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board upon reviewing the Planning Commission record in the matter that the following findings of fact were established: 1. The Bend Area General Plan designates the site within an urban residential area with lot sizes as small as 6,000 square feet being consistent with that designation. 2. This site would seem to be in a transition area between single family and multi-family developments and could probably be developed for either use without a substantial impact on the stability of the neighborhood. Properties to the East and South are a mixture of conventional homes and mobile homes. To the North are apartments and the Circle K Food Store to the Northeast. The property to the West is essentially undeveloped with a multi-family designation. And it further appearing to the Board that these facts support the proposed zone change, and The County deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from R-1 to R-2 as shown on the attached map : South side of Newport Ave., West of 15th Street at the edge of Bend, tax lots 100, 1000 and 5900, T17S, R12E, Section 31, approx. 3 acres.
