26-210-Order Recorded 11/15/1977VOL 26 PAGE 210 IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of File No. Z-77-45 ) Zone Change Request by Daniel ) O R D E R Wilkerson, from R-1, Urban ) Residential, single family to C-2) General Commercial ) This matter coming before the County Board of Commissioners upon the Hearings Officer's recommendation, who held a public hearing on this issue, October 25, 1977, and recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board upon reviewing the Hearing Officer reocrd in the matter that the following findings of fact were established: 1. The Bend Area General Plan, adopted by both the City of Bend and Deschutes County, designates the site as Highway Commercial and it appears the request is consistent with that designation. 2. There is a public need for a rezoning of the property in question. This is evidenced with the need for additional commercial services to keep pace with the rapid growth in the Southwestern portion of the Bend Urban Area. 3. The requested zone change is therefore in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan. And it further appearing to the Board that these facts support the proposed zone change, and The County deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from R-1 to C-2 as shown on the attached map: T18S, R12E, Section 4CC, tax lot 1000 near the intersection of Third Street and Arthur Ave. VOL 26 PAGE 2i1 Page 2.
