RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Deschutes County is increasingly expanding the duties
and services it provides for the public,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of
Deschutes County amends the Classification and Pay Plan as adopted
on June 23, 1973 by adding the following:

Qualifications: Must be generally knowledgeable in all types of
construction and the structural, mechanical and
electrical aspects of same. Must be able to read,
examine and correlate detailed plans and specifi-
cations. Construction superintendent experience
or the equivalent required.
Responsibilities: To provide continuing on-site inspection of the
construction of the Deschutes County Justice
Building (EDA Project 07-51-03372).
To ensure that the obligations of the Contractor
and Subcontractors are met and that time schedules
are kept.
To ensure that all work is performed in the manner
and of the quality and quantities which the contrac-
tual obligations and building specifications dictate.
To maintain orderly files at the site for records and
pertinent documents, and keep in detail a daily diary
or log book.
Limitations: Unless specific exceptions are established by written
instructions issued by the Owner or Architect,shall
not:
Authorize deviations from the Contract Documents.
Personally conduct any tests.
Enter into the area of responsibility of Contractor's
superintendent.
Expedite the Work of the Contractor.
Advise on, or issue directions relative to, any aspect
of construction means, methods, techniques, sequences
or procedures, or for safety precautions and programs
in connection with the Work.
Authorize or suggest that the Owner occupy the Project,
in whole or in part, prior to Substantial Completion.
Issue a Certificate for Payment.
