24-802-Order Recorded 6/15/1977VOL 24 FACE 802, IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter of File No. Z-77-16 Zone Change Request by Marken and Wick, from A-1-T, Ex- clusive Agricultural with T- standards to R-1, Urban Residential O R D E R This matter coming before the County Board of Commissioners upon the Planning Commission's recommendation, who held a public hearing on this issue, May 25, 1977, and unanimously recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board upon the Planning Commission record in this matter that the following facts were established: 1. That the zone change is consistent with the Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan can be shown by the fact that this area is shown as development alternative on the Bend Urban Area Com- prehensive Plan with a maximum density of 6,000 square feet. 2. That the change is in conformance with statewide planning goals, can be demonstrated by the fact that the area is in conformance with the Bend Urban Area Comprehensive Plan. 3. That there is a public need for re-zoning of the property in question, can be shown by the fact that the Bend Urban Area Comprehensive Plan designates this area for urban development and it is within the Bend Urban Growth Boundary which by definition indicates a need for urban development within its boundaries. 4. That other available property is inadequate to satisfy the public need, can be shown by the fact that large parcels of property close in to Bend are scarce and the need for development can be demonstrated by the rapid growth experienced in the Bend Urban Area. And it further appearing to the Board that these facts support the proposed zone change, and The County Commission deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from A-1-T, Exclusive Agricultural with T-standards to R-1, Urban Residential as shown on the attached map and described as follows: VOL 24 PAGE 8,93 Page 2. File No. Z-77-16 T17S, RUE, Section 25, tax lot 501 on Shevlin Park Road 12 miles West of the College Way intersection. Done by the order of the Board of County Commissioners this 15th day of June, 1977, to become effective immediately.
