Supply District )
This matter coming before the Deschutes County Board of
Commissioners by petitions containing the required number of
signatures of persons living in the described area, and said
petitioners asking that a Domestic Water Supply District be
formed under the provisions of Oregon Revised Statutes and lying
within the following boundaries in Deschutes County, Oregon, to
wit:
A tract of land located in portions of the Northwest one-
quarter of the Southwest one-quarter of Section Twenty-nine
(29), and the Northeast one-quarter of the Southeast one-
quarter of Section Thirty (30), and the East one-half of
Section Thirty-one (31), all in Township Sixteen (16) South,
Range Twelve (12) East of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes
County, Oregon, being more particularly described as follows:
Parcel No. 1:
Beginning at the initial point for the recorded plat of the
townsite of Laidlaw, said point being the North one-quarter
corner of said Section 31; thence southerly along the West
line of said plat, said line being also the North-South center-
line of said Section 31, a distance of 2555 feet, more or less,
to the intersection with the extension of the southerly right-
of-way line of Eighth Street in said plat; thence easterly
along said southerly right-of-way line a distance of 760 feet,
more or less, to the northeasterly right-of-way line of the
Bend-Sisters Highway; thence southeasterly along said north-
easterly right-of-way line a distance of 1170 feet, more or
less, to the intersection with the East line of said plat which
is also the East line of the West one-half of the East one-half
of said Section 31; thence northerly along said East line a
distance of 310 feet, more or less, to the intersection with the
westerly line of the recorded plat of Deschutes River Tract;
thence South 28°24'00" East along said westerly line a distance
of 865feet, more or less, to the intersection with the westerly
bank of the Deschutes River; thence northerly along the westerly
bank of the Deschutes River and also the easterly line of the
plat of Deschutes River Tract a distance of 2900 feet, more or
less, to the intersection with a line that bears North 89°14'30"
West and begins at a point that is located North 22145'07" East
a distance of 4191.85 feet from the South one-quarter corner of
said Section 31; thence South 89°14'30" East a distance of 270
feet, more or less, to the aforementioned point that is North
22045107" East a distance of 4191.85 feet from the South one-
quarter corner of said Section 31; thence continuing South
89°14'30" East a distance of 343.23 feet; thence North 06°44'30"
West a distance of 761.18 feet to a point that is 8 feet, more
or less, southerly of the southerly right-of-way line of Nichols
Secondary Market Road; thence northwesterly a distance of 70
feet, more or less, to the southeasterly corner of a tract of
land described in the deed recorded on Page 604, Volume 148,
Deschutes County Deed Records; thence North 06°23'30" West
along the easterly boundary of the aforementioned tract of land
a distance of 521.90 feet; thence North 13°32'00" East along

the easterly boundary of the aforementioned tract of land a
distance of 79 feet, more or less, to the North line of said
Section 31; thence westerly along said North line a distance
of 1760 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning and
terminus of this description.
Parcel No. 2:
Commencing at the said North one-quarter corner of the said
Section 31; thence East along the North line of said section
31 to the Northeast corner of said section also being the
Southwest corner of Section 29; thence North along the West
line of said Section 29 to the West one-quarter corner of
said Section 29, being the true point of beginning of this
description, also being the intial point of Deschutes River
Homesites, Rimrock Addition, a duly recorded subdivision located
in the Southwest one-quarter of said Section 29 and the South-
east one-quarter of Section 30 of said township and range;
thence North 88035100" East along the center of section line of
said Section 29, also being the northerly boundary of said sub-
division a distance of 522.88 feet; thence South 88048'00" East
along said northerly boundary a distance of 55.75 feet to a
point on the easterly boundary of said Deschutes River Home-
sites, Rimrock Addition. subdivision; thence southerly along
the easterly and southerly boundary of said subdivision a
distance of 1675 feet, more or less, to a point on the easterly
right-of-way line of Cline Falls Market Road, said right-of-way
line also being the westerly boundary of the said Deschutes
River Homesites, Rimrock Addition, subdivision; thence northerly
along the said westerly boundary a distance of 1135 feet, more
or less, to a point on the northerly boundary of said subdivision;
thence North 88035'00" East along the said northerly boundary a
distance of 98.65 feet to the point of beginning and terminus of
this description.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that a public hearing on the matter of such
proposed formation beheld, and that Wednesday, the 30th day of March,
1977 at 10:00 a.m., in the Deschutes County Courthouse Annex, in Bend,
Oregon, be set as the time and place of said hearing. All interested
persons may appear and be heard at this time.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Board of Commissioners publish the
notice of intention to form TUMALO DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT, and
the time and place of hearing, said publication to be in the Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation in Deschutes County and circulated
in proposed district. Said notice to be published once each week for
two successive weeks prior to time set for hearing.
