At this time the Commission noted that Dave Hoerning, Charles Plummer, Lorin Morgan, Louis
Selken, Robert A. Herwick, Theo B. Herwick, Clay and Ruth Edwards, John Killen, Walter K. Franc,
R. L. Coats, Pat Dean, Wesley Strauch, Jeff Smith, Marla Rae, and Lucia Venator, Secretary were
present at the morning session.
IN THE MATTER OF
SUPPORT OF H.R. 9717, PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES:
At this time the Commission resolved their support of H.R. 9717, Payments in Lieu of Taxes,
a bill that if passed would give counties with federal owned lands compensation for the tax
immunity of federal lands.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPOINTMENTS TO DESCHUTES CO. PLANNING COMMISSION:
At this time the Commission appointed Ms. Sharon McClaughry and Jim Anderson to four year
terms on the Deschutes Co. Planning Commission. Their terms will expire August 1, 1980.
IN THE MATTER OF
AMENDING FEES FOR PROCESSING APPLICATIONS IN THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT:
At this time the Commission adopted an order increasing the fees for processing applications
in the Planning Department. New rates went into effect July 21, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
ZONE CHANGE REQUEST BY E.L. SEARCY:
At this time the Commission approved a zone change request by E. L. Searcy from A-1,
Exclusive Agricultural to C-2, General Commercial for property described in order dated July,
21, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTY ROADS:
At this time the Commission resolved to establish Sunset Lane, Deer Field Drive, Northwood
Drive, Frontage Road, Holiday Lane, and Cascade Lane as county roads. September 1, 1976 is set
for the day for hearing objections if any to the establishment of said county roads.
