At this time the Commission announced that the Bend Metro Parks and Recreation Dist.
had approached them for the possible transfer of 21-, acres of land West of the railroad tracks
adjacent to Arrowhead Acres Subdivision for use as a public park. The Commission set Sept-
ember 18, 1976 at 10:00 a.m. as the public hearing for objections,if any, to said land transfer.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAM:
At this time the Commission adopted an Affirmative Action Program to meet the county's
equal employment opportunity obligations.

ZONE CHANGE REQUEST:
At this time the Commission upon the unanimous recommendation of the Planning Commission
approved a zone change request by Derrill L. Hudson from M-1, Light Industrial to C-2 General
Commercial for property described per order dated August 4, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
AMENDING ARTICLE 8 ZONING ORDINANCE:
At this time the Commission approved an order allowing the extension and enlargement
of existing non -conforming uses or structures under certain conditions described in order
dated August 4, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPOINTMENT TO DESCHUTES CO. LIBRARY BOARD:
At this time the Commission appointed Steven L. Bennett to four year term on the
Library Board. His term will expire August 1, 1980.
IN THE MATTER OF
BORROWING MONEY FROM ROAD FUND:
At this time the Commission ordered the Deschutes County Treasurer borrow funds from
the Road Fund to meet the operating expenses of the Solid Waste Fund until taxes are collected
to pay back the Road Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
BORROWING MONEY:
At this time the Commission adopted an order borrowing money from the General Fund to
meet the operating expenses of the Library Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
SALE OF REAL PROPERTY:
At this time the commission adopted an order to sell and convey to Bain Low, Tax
Lot 900 A4, Code 608 1510 subject to all liens or claims and delinquent taxes and interest
accrued and charged against such property.

SALE OF REAL PROPERTY:
At this time the commission adopted an order to sell and convey to Whispering Pines,
Inc. Tax Lot 200, Code 207 161222B, subject to all liens or claims arising out of any
assessment and delinquent taxes and interest accrued and charged against said property.

ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT:
At this time the Commission approved an Agreement between Sunriver Properties, Inc.,
and Deschutes County, dated August 10, 1976.
