IN THE MATTER OF ANNEXATION TO RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 2: At this time the Commission approved the annexation of Section 12, Township 17 South, Range 11 E.W.M. to Rural Fire Protection District No. 2. IN THE MATTER OF ANNEXATION TO RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 2: At this time the Commission set April 21, 1976 as the preliminary hearing for the annexation of SE4; Sl -,S-', NEI of Section 11 and NE4NE4 of Section 14, excluding Klippel Acres, all in Township 17 S, Range 11 E.M. to Rural Fire Protection District No. 2. IN THE MATTER OF THE MONONGAHELA DECISION: VOL 22 FADE 62 At this time the Commission resolved to support the suspension of the Monongahela decision as it eliminates the clear cutting method of timber harvesting, until September 30, 1977 to give Congress time to debate and adopt definite new legislation. IN THE MATTER OF CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION OF ROBERT S. ANDERSON: At this time the Commission voted to deny the conditional use application of Robert S. Anderson to place a mobile home on his acreage on Eagle Road. The Commission denied this request for the reason that the applicant has failed to satisfactorily prove that the place- ment of the mobile home will serve to stabilize the value of adjacent property, that it is an encouragement of the most appropriate use of the land, and that the allowance of the con- ditional use will promote orderly and efficient transition from rural to urban use. IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING A NEW TAX BASE FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY: At this time the Commission ordered that a new tax base of $1,984,297.00 be submitted to a vote of the people at the May 25, 1976 election. This new tax base would allow the county to operate more efficiently without going over the 6% limitation each year. IN THE MATTER OF SUBMITTING A BOND ISSUE FOR NEW JAIL FACILITIES AND COURTHOUSE ADDITION AND REMODELING: At this time the Commission ordered that a bond issue of $1,650,000.00 be submitted to a vote of the people at the May 25, 1976 primary election. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: At this time the Commission ordered Helen Rastovich as Tax Collector to refund the following taxes: Clara Headrick Taxes paid in error IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM DOG CONTROL FUND TO DOG CONTROL RESERVE FUND: At this time the Commission ordered the Deschutes County Treasurer to from the Dog Control Fund to the Dog Control Pickup and Crematorium Reserve IN THE MATTER OF CONTRACT WITH R. L. COATS: $235.16 transfer $1,000.00 Fund. At this time the Commission entered into contract with R. L. Coats for the Aggregate Bid for Deschutes County Road Dept. Total contract price is $82,500.00.
