Planning Commission who held a public hearing on the issue April 14, 1976.

At this time the Commission approved a Zone Change request from R-1, Urban Residential
to C-2, General Commercial for Carlson, Tino & Crabbe. This request has the unanimous approval
of the Planning Commission who held a public hearing on the issue April 14, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
AMENDMENT TO DESCHUTES COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE NO. PL -5:
At this time the Commission approved an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. P1-5 pertaining
to non -conforming use whereby non -conforming uses in existance before the zoning ordinance
was adopted could develop with the approval of the Planning Commission.
IN THE MATTER OF
ADOPTING ORDINANCE NO. PL -6 PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THE DESCHUTES COUNTY ZONING, SUB-
DIVISION AND SOLID WASTE ORDINANCES:
At this time the Commission adopted Ordinance No P1-6 providing a uniform complaint and
citation method for enforcement of the Deschutes County Zoning, Subdivision and Solid Waste
Ordinances. This ordinance went into effect immediately.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPOINTMENTS TO THE TRI -COUNTY HOME HEALTH AGENCY ADVISORY BOARD:
At this time the Commission appointed Ruth Hurst, Mrs. Marge Dover, and Mrs. Ida Reynolds
to the Tri County Home Health Agency Advisory Board. Their terms will expire January 1, 1979.
IN THE MATTER OF
AMENDMENT TO CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN:
At this time the Commission amended the Classification and Pay Plan by eliminating the
position of Senior Library Assistant 2006 and amending the Librarian job description. This
action was recommended by Richard Tuffli, County Librarian.
IN THE MATTER OF
TRAFFIC SAFETY FUND:
At this time the Commission ordered the Treasurer to pay the payroll and expenses of
the Traffic Safety Fund from the General Fund until such time as reimbursement funds are
received from the State to be returned to the General Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
GRANTING A GRAZING LEASE TO HAROLD E. AND DOROTHY L. LEIGHTON:
At this time the Commission granted a grazing lease to Harold E. and Dorothy L. Leighton
for 56.5 acres in T. 14 S., R. 13 E.W.M. in Sec. 28. Lease fee is $15.00 per year.

PERSONNEL ACTION:
At this time the Commission approved the following personnel action:
Activated Buddene Painter in the Watermaster's office for summer help.
Placed James D. Moore on the Sheriff's payroll at $693.00 per month effective May 1,
1976 as a Deputy Sheriff.
Placed Marianne Zimmer on Tax payroll at $505.00 per month effective May 1, 1976 as a
six month merit increase.

1976 as a six month merit increase on CETA.

Placed Benjamin Holland on the Courthouse payroll at $3.43 an hour effective May 1, 1976
as part time maintenance help.
Placed Nancy C. Burket on the Juvenile payroll at $5.32 an hour effective May 1, 1976
as a six month merit increase.
Terminated Otis W. Green from the Solid Waste payroll effective May 7, 1976.
Placed Ivadell Welsh on the Veterans payroll at $557.00 per month effective May 10, 1976
as termporary help.
Terminated Marie L. Nunes from the Library payroll effective May 25, 1976.
Terminated Thomas M. Del Nero from the J -J Boys Ranch effective May 25, 1976.
Terminated Debra Davis from the Courthouse payroll effective May 31, 1976, as a CETA hire.
Terminated Douglas E. Reich from the Sheriffs payroll effective May 31, 1976 as a
CETA hire.
Terminated Robert D. Tate from the Solid Waste payroll effective May 9, 1976 as a CETA
hire.
Placed Sherie L. Martin on the District Attorneys payroll as a permanent county employee
instead of CETA, effective June 1, 1976.
