APPOINTMENTETOOSPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT NO. 1 VOL 21 FACE 613
At this time the Commission appointed Mr. James Dowd as a Commissioner to Special Road
District No. 1. This is for a three year term which will expire in December 31, 1978.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPOINTMENT TO DOG CONTROL BOARD:
At this time the Commission appointed Thomas Dickens to the Dog Control Board for a term
of two years to expire Jan. 1, 1978.
IN THE MATTER OF
REQUEST OF A CONDITIONAL EXTENSION WITH LCDC:
At this time the Commission requested a conditional extension until March 1, 1976, from
the LCDC. This is to give the planning committee time to complete the plan evaluation with
citizens committees and to develop work programs and schedules on or before March 1, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
RATE INCREASE SOLID WASTE COLLECTION:
At this time the Commission ordered a rate increase for Solid Waste Collection High
Country Disposal Service to increase according to Exhibit "A". This order became effective
Jan. 1, 1976.
IN THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTY ROADS:
At this time the Commission resolved to establish River View Drive and Lazy River South
Drive, both described in resolutions. The Commission Ordered that the County Roadmaster or his
duly qualified deputy shall give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof
properly certified to as such by the County Clerk, at the place of holding County Court and also
at three places in the vicinity of said proposed road thrity days previous to the consideration
of this Resolution by the Board of County Commissioners notifying all persons concerned that
said Resolution will be considered and passed upon by this Board of County Commissioners at
a meeting on the 21st day of January, 1976 at which time the Board of County Commissioners will
consider any objections or remonstrances which may be filed on account of said proposed road.
IN THE MATTER OF
PLACING NO PARKING SIGNS ON A PORTION OF THE CASCADE LAKES HIGHWAY:
At this time the Commission authorized that the Department of Public Works is to erect no
parking signs in those locations as prescribed by the petitioner, and deemed to be proper and
in accordance with the Uniform Traffic Manual.
IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES:
At this time the Commission entered into agreement with DEQ to maintain adequate personnel
and resources to handle all matters concerning DEQ in Deschutes County.
IN THE MATTER OF
AMENDMENT TO THE DESCHUTES COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE NO. PL-5 PERTAINING TO ADMINISTRATIVE

At this time the Commission ordered that an amendment to the Deschutes County Zoning
Ordinance N. PL-5 be adopted, changing the Appeal period from 15 to 10 days.
IN THE MATTER OF
GRANTING LAND LEASE FOR GRAZING PURPOSES:
At this time the Commission granted a land lease for grazing purposes to Deschutes
Valley Farms, Inc., for 522.69 acres, the term of this lease is for five years, at a rate of
$182.94 per year.
