DESCHUTES COUNTY UTILITY ORDINANCE NO. 203-7:

At this time the Commission read for the second time Utility Ordinance No. 203-7 and
adopted said ordinance. Purpose of this ordinance is to set guidelines to be followed when
installing utilities under, over, or on county and public right of ways.
IN THE MATTER OF
SALE OF ABUNDANT FOOD BUILDING TO CHARLES T. CHURCH:
At this time the Commission announced the sale of the Abundant Food Building to Charles
T. Church for $61,000.00. Mr. Church paid $10.000.00 down with monthly payments of $646.17. A
Trust Deed to said effect has been recorded in Vol. 208 page 332 in the County Clerk's Office.
IN THE MATTER OF
CODY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT:
At this time the Commission approved the street improvement of Cody Assessment District.
The decision concerning the water portion of the assessment will be decided at a later meeting.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPOINTMENT TO THE LIBRARY BOARD:
At this time the Commission appointed Mr. Edward Jackson, 1327 NW Baltimore, Bend, Oregon
to a four year term on the Library Board. His term expires February 1, 1980.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPOINTMENTS TO THE BUDGET ADVISORY BOARD:
At this time the Commission appointed Wallace T. Cleveland, Boyd Acres Road, Bend, Oregon
to a three year term and Mr. Robert Herwic, P.O. Box 727, Redmond to a one year term to replace
Robert Schock on the Budget Advisory Board. Mr. Cleveland's term expires February 1, 1979 and
Mr. Herwick's term expires February 1, 1977.
IN THE MATTER OF
PROPOSED FORMATION OF LAZY RIVER SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT:
At this time the Commission upon the petition of persons, who according to the latest
assessment role, hold title to more than 10% of the land within the proposed road district,
ordered a hearing for March 3, 1976 at 10:30 a.m. for the hearing of objections, if any, to
the formation of Lazy River Special Road District.
IN THE MATTER OF
PROPOSED LAND EXCHANGE WITH CENTRAL OREGON IRRIGATION DISTRICT:
At this time the Commission resolved to exchange property to Central Oregon Irrigation
District to correct an error whereby during a title search a reversionary clause was over
looked and Deschutes County sold property that should have reverted back to COI. Said hearing
is set for March 17, 1976 at 10:00 a.m.
IN THE MATTER OF
PROPOSED LAND EXCHANGE WITH HORACE C. FENNELL:
At this time the Commission resolved to exchange property to Horace C. Fennell. The
purpose of this land exchange would be to consolidate properties of Deschutes County and Mr.
Fennell that is now severed by Highway 20. The Commission set March 17, 1976 at 10:30 a.m.
for the date of said hearing on this land exchange.
IN THE MATTER OF
ZONE CHANGE FROM R-2, Urban Residential to C-1-T, Tourist Commercial with Transitional Standards:
At this time the Commission, upon the unanimous recommendation of the Planning Commission
ordered Zone Change from R-2, Urban Residential to C-1-T, Tourist Commercial with Transitional
Standards for an area as described in Order.
IN THE MATTER OF
GRANTING GRAZING LEASE TO D.W. MILTENBERGER:
At this time the Commission granted grazing lease to D. W. Miltenberger for 760 acres.
The term of this lease five years with rent at the rate of $114.00 per year.
