ATTENDANCE:
At this time the Commission noted that Dave Hoerning, Charles Plummer, F. C. Sholes, Helen
Rastovich, Nona M. Kurtz, Theo B. Herwick, Robert A. Herwick, John Killen, Sheridan Fahnestock,
Jack B. Thornton, Ilene Mathisen and Lucia Venator, Secretary were present at the morning
session.
IN THE MATTER OF
TRANSFERING THE RESPONSIBILITY OF TAX OFFICE TO THE TREASURER:
At this time the Commission resolved that the Tax Office and it's responsibility be
transfered from the Sheriff's Department to the Treasurer, effective July 1, 1975.
IN THE MATTER OF
THE FORMATION OF PROPOSED PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT:
At this time the Commission ordered that an election be held on July 8th, 1975 pursuant
to ORS 198.815 on the proposed fromation of the Central Oregon park and recreation district.

EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES: VOL 2U rr"AGE
At this time the Commission resolved that it is in the best interests of Deschutes County
to acquire certain lands. It is the intention of Deschutes County to exchange a property as
described per resolution for property owned by M.R.S. Company, Inc. as described per resolution.
A hearing to hear objections to said exchange shall be held in the Deschutes County Courthouse
Annex, Conference Room "A", on July 2, 1975 at 10:00 a.m.
IN THE MATTER OF
LEASE WITH MR. AND MRS. FRED SACHTJEN:
At this time the Commission granted a Deschutes County Grazing Lease to Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Sachtjen of approximately 1.3 acres. Terms of lease is five years and Lessee agrees to
pay $25.00 per year.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 24 LAIDLAW (TUMALO):
The Commission on May 21, 1975 held a Hearing on the Vacation of an Alley in Block 24
LaidLaw (Tumalo) and beings there where no objections, Ordered that said Alley be vacated as
described in order.
IN THE MATTER OF
DECLARING THE NECESSITY FOR CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY FOR USE BY DESCHUTES COUNTY:
At this time the Commission ordered that the described property be included in the
condemnation action institued by the County. Parcel 3 - A tract of land located in the
Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 2, Township 22 South, Range 10 East
of the Willamette Meridian, described as per order.
IN THE MATTER OF
EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH PHILIP W. AND JOSEPHINE G. CHASE:
At this time the Commission entered into agreement with Philip W. and Josephine G. Chase.
For and in consideration of the vacation of the public road located on the property of the
grantors, on the easterly fifty (50) feet of the NE 4 of Section 28, T 16 S, R 11 East,
W. M. grantors grant to the County the following described easement as per agreement.

The Commission of February 19, 1975 held a Hearing on the Vacation of a Public Way and
