I BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS VOL 2 CQUNTY OF DESCHUTES 3 STATE OF OREGON 41n the Matter of an Ordinance) Regulating the Hauling of ) COUNTY ORDINANCE 5Refuse ) No. 203-2 6 THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS for Deschutes Counter ordains as follows: 7 NO PERSON SHALL transport or carry refuse in or on.,:a,motor vehicle Sor trailer upon a public road within the jurisdiction of Deschutes 9County unless such refuse is; 10 a) Completely covered on the sides, top and bottom thereof and 11 such cover: ,is .. e.kth0r -part of or securely fastened to the 12 body of such motor vehicle or trailer; or 13 b) Mach refuse itself, ,is securely tied to the body of such 14 motor vehic1:6`bt trailer; ot—otherwise contained in the 15 body of the m©tor vehicle or trailer in such a way so that 16 no pie a ,,axticle,or part of such refuse is Likely to`sift, 17 leak or otherwise escape therefrom. 18 REFUSE IS DEFINED AS: Rubbish, trash, garbage, debris, solid 19waste, vegetable and animal waste, ashes; waste household articles, 20waste vehicle parts or tires, waste metal of any kind, waste paper 21or cardboard,.waste wood of any kind, se^vered'tree limbs, or brush, 22waste building material of any kind, and further includes any other 23 rejected matter and all articles and things: ordinarily and customarily 24 hauled off and dumped for promoting health and cleanliness. 25 THIS ORDINANCE IS PASSED pursuant to authority vested in Deschutes 26 County pursuant to ORS 459.005 (11), ORS 459.085 (1)(e), and ORS 203.065.
