a proposed Park and Recreation District )

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon
has received petitions containing 772 signatures, duly certified to by the County
Clerk of Deschutes County, Oregon to be qualified signers, and consisting of more
than fifteen per cent of the registered voters in the area hereinafter referred
to, requesting the formation of a park and recreation district to serve the area
described in the petitions for the purpose of acquiring, maintaining and operating
park and recreation facilities therein, and
WHEREAS the proposed name of the district shall be Central Oregon Park
and Recreation District and the petitions provide for a District Board consisting
of five members, and
WHEREAS the boundary of the proposed district, situate entirely in
Deschutes County, Oregon, is described as follows:
Beginning at the'northeast'corner of Township 14, South of
Range 13, East of Willamette Meridian;`'thence running west
along township line to the northw4st corner of Section 3,
Township 14 South, Range 11, East of Willamette Meridian;
thence south along the section line to the southwest corner
of Section 34, Township:15.South, Range 11 East of Willamette
Meridian; thence East along said Township line to where the
same intersects the Deschutes River; thence up said Deschutes
River in a southwesterly direction to the Northerly line of
Section 20, Township 16 South, Range 12 East of Willamette
Meridian; thence East following the section lines to the
township line at the southeast corner of Section 13, Township
16 South, Range 13 East of Willamette Meridian; thence north
following the township lines to the place of beginning.
(For information purposes only, the proposed district consists
of precincts numbered 17, 18, 19, 28, 29 and 31.)
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that a public hearing shall
be held on the proposal on April 21, 1975 at 7:30 P.M. at the Council
Chambers, Redmond City Hall, Redmond, Oregon, at which time all interested

persons may appear and be heard and that notice thereof be given as provided by
law.
