At this time the County entered into an agreement with the Oregon State
Extension Service to hire youths eligible under the Neighborhood Youth Corps
program to work for the County. The Extension Service shall pay the wages and
the County shall provide the jobs and supervision not to exceed 234 hours per
participant. This agreement shall expire the end of August, 1974.

IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT WITH DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE:

At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with Department of
Revenue to provide qualified personnel during 1974-1975 fiscal year for appraisal
of Industrial Properties and Merchandise Inventory checks. The estimated cost to
Deschutes County is $1,840.00 for a total of 40 estimated man days.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF ROADS:
The Commission, on August 21, 1974 held a Hearing on its intention to vacate
all that portion of Cheryl Lane beginning at the South boundary line of Holmes
Acres and extending to the North boundary line of Holmes Acres all in Sec. 24, T
21S, R 10 east of the Williamette Meridian, as described in the Commission minutes
dated July 17, 1974. It is hereby ordered that Cheryl Lane is hereby vacated as
there were no objections at said Hearing.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF ROADS:
The Commission, on August 21, 1974 held a Hearing on its intention to vacate
all that portion of Homesdale Lane beginning at the South boundary line of Holmes
Acres and extending to the North boundary line of Holmes Acres all in Sec. 24, T
21 S, R 10 east of the Williamette Meridian, as described in the Commission
minutes dated July 17, 1974. It is hereby ordered that Homesdale Lane is hereby
vacated as there were no objections at said Hearing.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN GENERAL FUND:
At this time the Commission ordered transfer of appropriations within the
General Fund be made:
$3,600.00 from Justice Court Personal Serv. Office Assist.(01-15-IOB)
to Justice Court, Materials and Ser., Contract Ser. (01-15-233) transfer from a
payroll item to a materials and services item as the person is paid on a contract
basis instead of payroll.
IN THE MATTER OF
REFUND OF TAXES:
At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes as Tax Collector to make
the following refund of taxes:

IN THE MATTER OF
TRANSFER OF FUNDS:
At this time the Commission ordered the Deschutes County Treasurer transfer
$78,200.00 from the Road Fund to the General Fund for Salaries, Commissioners 8
Secretary, $31,200.00; Sheriff Patrol $10,000.00; County Advertising $500.00; and
Data Processing $36,500.00.
IN THE MATTER OF
MARINE PATROL PAYROLL:
At this time the Commission ordered the Deschutes County Treasurer pay the
Marine Patrol payroll and expenses from General Fund, pursuant to ORS 294.460,
until such time as reimbursement funds are received from the Oregon State Marine
Board to be returned to the General Fund by the end of the ensuing year.

THE IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT #5.
;ODY JUNIOR ROAD ALL IN ASSESSMENT
At this time the Commission ordered that Cody Road, Donna Lane and Cody
Junior Road, all in Assessment District #5, pursuant to the provisions of ORS
371.635, be improved by contract and force account, said improvement to be an oil
mat surface 24 feet in width, with 4 foot gravel or cinder shoulders, drainage
facilities as required and reconstruction of street entrances where they now
exist.
It is further ordered that the land abutting on siad street improvement is
subject to a lien of an assessment for the cost of said improvement in an amount
to be determined later by order of the Board of County Commission.
There being no further business, Commission was adjourned.
