VOL 19 FAVE 110 IN THE MATTER OF PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM: At this time the Commission ordered the County Treasurer set up a separate account to receive and disperse Oregon State Grant Funds as per agre- ment with the State of Oregon Employment Division for the position of Office Worker with the Juvenile Department to commence October 1, 1974 and terminate June 30, 1975. IN THE MATTER OF SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT #I: At this time the Commission Ordered that the tax levy authorized at Special Election held May 7, 1974 in which majority of votes were favorable (37 to 20) the sum of $12,000 with a maximum rate of levy to be $2.50 per $1,000 true cash value of taxable property be certified to the County Assessor for Deschutes County for extension upon the next assessment roll of the County against the property within the Special Road District No. 1. IN THE MATTER OF AMENDMENT TO CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN: At this time the Commission resolved to amend the Classification and Pay Plan as adopted June 25, 1973, by changing Eligibility for Salary Increase to read: If a cost of living increase is approved, only those employees who have successfully completed their trial service period shall be eligible. If, after six months, the newly hired employee is evaluated as satisfactory and allowed to continue employment, he/she is entitled to receive the cost of living increase that he/she did not receive during the trial service period. This shall be paid to the employee in a lump sum on the first pay day after the employee's trial service period. A newly hired employee shall be eligible for a merit increase (not to exceed 2 steps or 5%) upon the successful completion of the trial service p e r i o d . IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH KLAMATH COUNTY: At this time the Commission entered into agreement with Klamath County regarding terms of employment of Deputy Watermaster and Office Assistant, Dist. No. 11 and the portion of their pay allocated to Klamath County which is a total of $220.59 for.the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1974 and ending June 30, 1975. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH CROOK COUNTY: At this time the Commission entered into agreement with Crook County regarding terms of employment of Deputy Watermaster and Office Assistant, Dist. No. 11 and the portion of their pay allocated to Crook County which is a total of $4,127.61 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1974 and ending June 30, 1975. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY: At this time the Commission entered into agreement with Jefferson County regarding terms of employment of Deputy Watermaster and Office Assistant, Dist. No. 11 and the portion of their pay allocated to Jefferson County which is a total of $4,127.63 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1974 and ending June 30, 1975. IN THE MATTER OF FINAL HEARING ON ANNEXATION TO RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT #2: The Commission, on Sept. 4, 1974 held a Hearing on the annexation to Rural Fire Protection District #2. Beings there were no objections to said annexation, the Commission designated final Hearing date as Nov. 6, 1974; if no requests for an election are filed before this date, the Deschutes Co. Comm. will issue final order for said annexation. IN THE MATTER OF 'VOL FA UE APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN GENERAL FUND: At this time the Commission ordered transfer of appropriations within the General Fund be made: $3,000.00 from Justice Court, Materials & Service, Contract Ser. (01-15-23 to Justice ' Court, Personal Service, Office Assistant (01-15-1013) to transfer office help to County payroll for Social Security purposes ins-ead of payment on a warrent basis. IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF 11G11 AVENUE: At this time, the Commission, acting upon the petition of Hiram Simpson, George W. Brown, and Dawford W. Murders, Terrebonne, Deschutes County, Oregon, resolved to vacate the following described street, to wit: All that portion of "G11 Avenue from the easterly right-of-way line of Ilth Street to the westerly right-of-way line of 13th Street according to the official plat of Hillman Addition, Terrebonne, Oregon as recorded in the office of the Deschutes County Clerk. It is, Therefore, Ordered that copies of this Resolution, duly certified to as such by the County C*erk, shall be posted in three (3) places along the road to be vacated , and that a copy of th I s Reso I ut 1 on be p I aced on the Bu I I et I n Board in the entrance of the Deschutes County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon; that Wednesday, October 16, 1974, at 10:00 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time, at the County Courtroom, County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for the hearing of objections, if any therebe, why said portion of the road should not be vacated. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH OREGON WILDLIFE COMMISSION: At this time, the Commission entered agreement with the Oregon Wildlife Commission to restrict the operation of motor -propelled vehicles where wild- life or wildlife habitat is damaged. The restrictions shall apply during the period of December I through March 31 each year for a three-year period ending March 31, 1977. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commission approved the following personnel action: Placed Wendy Lee Larson on General Health payroll at $967.50 per month effective July 1, 1974 as cost of living increase. Placed Martha Jeanne Mergel on Sheriff's payroll at $543.00 per month effective August 26, 1974. Placed Darwin H. Clark on Assessor's payroll at $864.00 per month effective Sept. 1, 1974 as a merit increase. Placed Robert F. Kirk on Road Dept. payroll at $747.00 per month effective Sept. 1, 1974 as I step merit increase - Placed William C. Kauffman on Road Dept. payroll at $975.00 per month effective Sept. 1, 1974 as I step merit increase. Placed Jeff A. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN THE MATTER OF THE'VACATION OF A PORTION OF 12th STREET: At this time, the Commission, acting upon the petition of Hiram Simpson, George W. Brown, and Dawford W. Murders, Terrebonne, Deschutes County, Oregon, resolved to vacate the following described street, to wit: All that portion of 12th Street from the northerly right-of-way line of "I'll Avenue to the southerly right-of-way line of 11G11 Avenue according to the official plat of Hillman Addition, Terrebonne, Oregon, as recorded in the office of the Deschutes County Clerk. It is, therefore, Ordered that copies of this Resolution, duly certified to as such by the County Clerk, shall be posted in three (3) places along the road to be vacated, and that a copy of this Resolution be placed on the Bulletin Board in the entrance of the Deschutes County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon; that Wednesday, October 16, 1974, at 10:00 A. M.
