Tilse to the Committee being formed to study the possibility of forming a Port District in Deschutes County. -3- IN THE MATTER OF Vol- 18 PAGE 4 FORMATION OF PARK & RECREATION DIST.: At this time the Commission, upon the request of petitions containing 136 signatures requesting that an election be held upon the question of whether a Park and Recreation District should be formed, ordered that an election be held May 7, 1974, and that five members of the District's initial Board of Directors be voted upon at said election. IN THE MATTER OF ZONE CHANGE REQUEST: At this time the Commission, upon the request of the Planning Commission who held a public hearing and unanimously recommended approval, ordered to adopt zone change request from A -I -T Exclusive Agriculture with Transitional Standards to PD Planned Development for Condominiums Northwest, Inn of the 7th Mountain. IN THE MATTER OF GEOLOGY & MINERAL STUDY: At this time the Commission ordered that $6,750.00 be appropriated to the State Department of Geology and Mineral Industries to cover 50 percent of the cost of performing the study of geological and mineral resources in Deschutes County and $2,500.00 to cover the cost of 1,000 copies of the final report prepared by the State of Oregon. IN THE MATTER OF LAND USE AGREEMENT WITH REDMOND ROD & GUN CLUB: At this time the Commission granted Land Use Agreement to Redmond Rod and Gun Club, Inc., to use land described as: W12 SEk, Sec. 14, T. 15 S., R. 13 E., W.M. as a firearms range for training purposes; term of lease is ten years. IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENT TO PLANNING COMMISSION: At this time the Commission appointed John Partin as a member of the Deschutes County Planning Commission to fill the unexpired term previously held by Bob Butler which expires July 1, 1975. IN THE MATTER OF SOLID WASTE COLLECTION: At this time the Commission ordered that Edward S. Daley DBA LaPine Disposal Service be granted a franchise for the collection of solid wastes and wastes in Deschutes County, Oregon, as provided in Article IV of the Deschutes County Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Ordinance, for a period to end December 31, 1974. IN THE MATTER OF HEARING ON ANNEXATION TO RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DIST. # 2: At this time the Commission set the date of May 1, 1974, at 10:00 a.m. at the Deschutes County Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon, for the Hearing to receive any protests to the proposed annexation of the following described territory to Rural Fire Protection District #2: All of Deschutes River Woods Subdivision as filed in Book 6 of the Record of Plats, Deschutes County, Oregon (which Includes parts of Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 36 in T. 18 S., R. If E., W.M. and part of Sec. 19 and 30 in T. 18 S., R. 12 E., W.M.), excluding the following portions of said Deschutes River Woods Subdivision from said annexation: That part of said Subdivision lying westerly of the east bank of the Deschutes River and that portion presently included in Rural Fire Protection District # 2. -4- AP IN THE MATTER OF LEASE WITH HUNNELL: va 18 PAGE 5 At this time the Commission granted Deschutes County lease to Harold R. Term of lease Is three years and Lessee agrees to pay $10.00 annually on .909 acres. IN THE MATTER OF APPROPRIATIONS TRANSFERS WITHIN ROAD FUND: At this time the Commission ordered that the following transfers of appropriations within the Road Fund be made: $1,300.00 from Road Office Supplies (02-50-201) to Road Engineering Supplies (02-50-240) to Increase balance amount of Engineering Supplies. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commission approved the following personnel action: P laced Sue Ann Youde on Library payroll as Library Assistant at $325.00 per month effective April 1, 1974. Terminated Larry Noonkester from Road payroll effective April 2, 1974. Placed Gary D. Clark on Watermaster payroll as Assistant Watermaster at $693.00 per month effective April 8, 1974.
