18-13-Order Recorded 4/3/1974VOt 18 PAGE 13 IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of ) Appropriating matching funds O R D E R to the State Department of ) Geology and Mineral ) Industries. ) This matter coming before the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners this 3rd day of April, 1974, and WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners along with the Deschutes County Planning Commission as committed itself to develop a thorough study of geological and mineral resources, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that there is a vital need for the use of this natural resource and it has been recognized that the mining of this resource creates conflicts in land use relationships to residential development which can only be resolved from developing plan objectives and public policies which is to be made part of the Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan, THEREFORE, it is hereby determined that this program is in the public interest and that the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners will appropriate an amount of $6,750.00 to the State Department of Geology and Mineral Industries to cover 50% of the cost to perform the program. In addition, $2,500.00 will be appropriated to cover the cost of 1,000 copies of the final report prepared by the State. Done by order of the Board of Commissioners this 3rd day of April, 1974.
