17-911-Resolution Recorded 3/6/1974IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of ) Amendments to Personnel ) Rules as Adopted on ) June 25, 1973 ) vOL 17 PAGE 911 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Deschutes County Personnel Rules as adopted on June 25, 1973, state that "Compensatory time off for approved overtime worked must be taken within sixty days of the date such overtime was earned. In no event shall compensatory time off accrue beyond a maximum of sixty hours ", and WHEREAS, The limits of sixty hours for accrual of overtime worked and the sixty day period in which overtime worked must be taken have proved impractical and unworkable for many positions in the County Road Department, as heavy workloads may extend for several months, and WHEREAS, The Personnel Rules, in listing professional, administrative and technical classifications that are exempted from overtime, have included two working foremen in the Road Department; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Board of Commissioners of Deschutes County amends the Personnel Rules as adopted on June 25, 1973, by changing the last two sentences in Section 3.52 (b) to read: "Compensatory time off for approved overtime worked must be taken within 180 days of the date such overtime was earned. In no event shall compensatory time off accrue beyond a maximum of 120 hours." It is also resolved that classifications 3214 and 3420 be deleted from the list of classifications exempted from overtime in Section 3.53 of the Personnel Rules. Dated this 6th day of March, 1974.
