At this time the Commission, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission
who held a public hearing and unanimously recommended approval, ordered that
Zone Change Request initiated by Deschutes County be adopted to change from A -I -T
Exclusive Agricultural with Transitional Standards to RR -I Rural Recreation
Residential the property described as W12 NW14 NE4, Sec. 30, T. 22S., R. 10 E., W.M.
located on Masten Road.

At this time the Commission, upon the petition of the Planning Commission
who held public hearing and unanimously recommended approval, ordered that
zone change request initiated by Deschutes County be adopted to change from
A -I -T Exclusive Agricultural with Transitional Standards to RR -I Rural Recreation
Residential the property described as the S1 SE41 of Sec. 19, Twp. 22 S., Range 10
E., W.M. located on Masten Road.

TAX REFUND:
At this time the Commission approved refund of taxes be made to Dave
Barclay, Sisters, Oregon, in the amount of $15.00 as Squaw Creek charge should
have been $20.00 instead of $35.00.

NOTICE TO HETU:
At this time the Commission extended the date that Harold Hetu is to appear
before the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners to January 2, 1974, to show
cause that a nuisance under provisions of Ordinance CG -4 does not exist.
IN THE MATTER OF PETITION
FOR FORMATION OF SANITARY SEWER DIST.:
At this time the Commission received petition from Jan Wick for formation
of a sanitary sewer district in the area described as: NE41 SE41, Sec. 29, T. 15S.,
R. 13 E., W.M. and SE -4 NW -4L & SW41 NE -4, Sec. 29, T. 15S., R. 13 E., W.M.
IN THE MATTER OF
TRANSPORTATION STunY!
At this time Brent Lake, Assistant Planner, Central Oregon Intergovernmental
Council, presented Transportation Study to the Commission.
IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFER
OF APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN REVENUE SHARING FUND:
At this time the Commission approved the following transfer of appropriations
within the Revenue Sharing Fund: I
$12,176.30 from Revenue Sharing Materials and Services Public Safety
32-80-220 to Revenue Sharing Personal Services Deputies 32-80-IOA to pay extra
deputies hired by Sheriff.
IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS
FROM GENERAL FUND TO REVENUE SHARING FUND:
At this time the Commission approved the following transfers of
appropriations from the General Fund to the Revenue Sharing Fund:
$6,088.15 from Sheriffts Department Personal Services Deputy 01 -17 -IOP
to Revenue Sharing Public Safety 32-80-220 to reverse Transfer #41.
$6,088.15 from Sheriff's Department Personal Services Deputy 01-17-IOQ
to Revenue Sharing Public Safety 32-80-220 to reverse Transfer #40.
IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFERS OF APPROPRIATIONS
WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND:
At this time the Commission approved the following transfers of
appropriations from line items within the General Fund:
$17,855.00 from Other County Contributions Operating Contingency 01-32-501
to Other County Contributions Personal Services 01 -32 -IOD to cover employees in
the union and dependent insurance coverage for employees.
$200.00 from District Court Personal Services Reporter 01 -12 -IOD to District
Court Materials and Services Professional Services 01-12-218 to cover Probate
Reporters for Circuit Court as they are handled in District Court.

OF APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND:
At this time the Commission ordered that
appropriations within the General Fund be made:

$300.00 from Tax Office Materials and Services 01-18-216 ($50.00),
01-18-206 ($50.00) and 01-18-201 ($200.00) to Tax Office Personal Services
Extra Hire 01-18-IOG as extra girl was needed for another month in Tax Office
to complete the mail received during the November tax rush.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL ACTION:
At this time the Commission approved the following personnel action:
Placed William Nicoson on Solid Waste payroll as Maintenance Man I at
$543.00 per month effective December 1, 1973, as he has completed the six-month
probationary period.
Placed William Kauffman on Road Dept. payroll as Engineering Technician III
at $884.00 per month effective December 1, 1973, as he has completed the six-
month probationary period.
Placed Mary Norris on Library payroll as Library Assistant at $341.00 per
month effective December I , 1973, as she has completed the six-month probationary
p e r i o d .
Placed Ann Corey on Library payroll as Library Assistant at $325.00 per
month effective December 10, 1973.
Placed Mary Graham on Library payroll as Library Assistant (part-time) at
$349.00 per month effective December 15, 1973.
Terminated Bette Storm from Sheriff's payroll as Office Deputy effective
December 21, 1973.
Terminated Carl, Andis from Road Dept. payroll effective December 31, 1973.
Placed Patricia Van Slyke on Courthouse payroll as Office Worker at
$385.00 per month effective January 1, 1974, as she has completed the six-month
probationary period.
Placed James Frost on General Health Sanitation payroll as Sanitarian
at $711.00 per month effective January 1, 1974, as he has completed six-month
probationary period.
