IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENT TO SPECIAL ROAD DIST. BOARD: At this time the Commission appointed Jack Broadley to replace Ed Gothard as Commissioner of the Deschutes County Special Road District # 1; term will expire December 31, 1974. -3- IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTIONS VI)l TO ESTABLISH COUNTY ROADS: �).. 17 2 At this time the Commission made Resolutions of its intention to establish county roads in Deschutes County, Oregon, described as follows: BRIDLE LANE - A strip of land for street purposes 60 feet in width, 30 feet each side of centerline as platted on the official plat of Saddleback West as recorded in the office of the County Clerk. MARTINGALE CIRCLE - A strip of land for street purposes 60 feet in width, 30 feet each side of centerline as platted on the official plat of Saddleback West as recorded in the office of the County Clerk. GOLD SPUR WAY - A strip of land for street purposes 60 feet in width, 30 feet each side of centerline as platted on the official plat of Saddleback West as recorded in the office of the County Clerk. HAKAMORE DRIVE - A strip of land for street purposes 60 feet in width, 30 feet each side of centerline as platted on the official plat of Saddleback West as recorded in the office of the County Clerk. And it is ordered that the Co. Roadmaster or his duly qualified deputy, shall give notice of these Resolutions by posting true copies thereof, properly certified to as such by the Co. Clerk, at the place of holding Co. Court and also at three public places in the vicinity of said proposed roads thirty days previous to the consideration of Resolutions by the Board of Commissioners, notifying all persons concerned that said Resolutions will be considered and passed upon by this Board of Co. Commissioners at meeting on the 5th day of September, 1973, at which time the Board will consider any objections or remonstrances which may be filed on account of said proposed roads. IN THE MATTER OF AMENDMENT TO DES. CO. ZONING ORDINANCE PL -5.: At this time the Commission, upon the petition of the Planning Commission and upon the unanimous recommendation at public hearing, adopted amendment to Des. Co. Zoning Ordinance No. PL -5, Subsection 3 to Section 4.020, Article IV to read as follows: A use permitted or conditional use in an R -I Zone, R-2 Zone, C-1 Zone or M-1 Zone, is permitted in the Pl) Planned Development Zone. IN THE MATTER OF AMENDMENT TO DES. CO. ZONING ORDINANCE PL -5: At this time the Commission, upon the petition of the Planning Commission and upon the unanimous recommendation at public hearing, adopted amendment to Des. Co. Zoning Ordinance No. PL -5, Subsection 6 added to Section 4.030, Article IV, concerning Planned Development Zoning. IN THE MATTER OF ZONE CHANGE REQUEST BY BROOKS RESOURCES CORP: At this time the Commission, upon the petition of the Planning Commission and upon the unanimous recommendation at public hearing, approved zone change request by Brooks Resources Corp. from A-1-40, Exclusive Agricultural to SR -1 Suburban Residential. IN THE MATTER OF DESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER: At this time the Commission designated the Bend Bulletin as official newspaper In which to publish personal property warrants for 1973-74. IN THE MATTER OF APPEAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION ON CLINE BUTTE QUARRY: At this time the Commission, after having taken under advisement appeal of Mrs. Robert Blair and testimony at public hearing on July 31, 1973, voted unanimously to uphold the unanimous decision of the Planning Commission to grant a conditional use permit to Mr. and Mrs. Everett Thornburgh and Mid -Oregon Crushing for a Quarrying operation. -4- Vnt I N THE MATTER OF TRA-NSFER 1-7 F�.L,,E&227 OF APPROPRIATION WITHIN GENERAL FUND: At this time the Commission resolved that the appropriation in the amount of $3,000.00 be transferred from the Materials and Services 01-20-258 in General Health -Medical Nursing to Personal Services 01-20-IOG In General Health -Medical Nursing as payment to Dr. Spence for medical investigations. IN THE MATTER OF STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF GUARD & RESERVE: At this time the Commission joined members of the American business community in agreement that: 1) Courthouse employees' jobs and career oppor- tunities will not be limited or reduced because of their service in Guard or Reserve; 2) Employees will be granted leaves of absence for military training without sacrifice of vacation time; and 3) This information will be made known throughout the courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF HOME HEALTH AGREEMENT WITH CROOK COUNTY: At this time the Commission concerning services of Tri -County Coordinator and Registered Nurse July 1, 1973, to July 1, 1974. entered into agreement with Crook County Home Health Agency with Registered Nurse In exchange for $4,103.52; term will be from IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes as Tax Collector to make the following refund of taxes: Blue Chip Realty Overpayment of Taxes $32.13 IN THE MATTER OF NOTICE TO HETU ON VIOLATION OF ORDINANCE CG -4: At this time the Commission ordered notice issued to Harold Hetu notifying him that a nuisance under provisions of Ordinance CG -4 is alleged to exist on his property and requiring him to appear before the Des. Co. Bend. -5- IN THE MATTER OF CONTRACT WITH JACK ROBINSON & SONS: TrJ L 17 m -,E 228 At this time the Commission entered into contract with Jack Robinson and Sons who will perform and complete work and furnish materials and labor on Nels Anderson Road for sum of $5,134.20; work to be completed by August 31, 1973. IN THE MATTER OF QUITCLAIM DEED: At this time the Commission granted quitclaim deed to Jack Robinson and Sons, Inc., releasing all rights, title and reversionary interest in real property described as: The East I NWJ SE14 NE14 and NE4 SEk NE4 of Section 21, T. 15 S., R. 13 E., W.M., except the easterly 30 feet of said parcel reserved to the public for road purposes. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commission approved the following personnel action: Placed Billie S. Crowell on Tax Dept. payroll as Accounting Clerk at $405.00 per month effective July 1, 1973. Placed Bette L. Storm on Sheriff's payroll as Office Deputy at $432.00 per month effective July 1, 1973.
