The Commission noted that Dave Hoerning, Charles Plummer, Julie Tripp,
Richard May, Paul Arrasmith, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. John D.
Todd, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Tromblee were present at the morning session.
IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENTS:
At this time the Commission made the following appointments:
Jim Crabtree to the Extension Advisory Council for 3 years from January I,
1973 to October I, 1975.
Mike Ziegler to the Extension Advisory Council for 3 years from January I,
1973 to October 1, 1975.
Allen Auzenne to the Extension Advisory Council for 3 years from January I,
1973 to October 1, 1975.
Lucille Jordan to the Library Committee for 4 years from January I, 1973

IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION ON TRANSFER

At this time the Commission resolved that the Chairman of the Commissioners,
Joe W. Peden, be authorized to execute on behalf of the Court a Conveyance to
the United States of certain real property consisting of approximately 254.80
acres of land situated in Sec. 15, T. 15 S., R. 13 E., W.M., Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
DESCHUTES, LAKE AND KLAMATH COUNTIES:
At this time the Commission concurred in the Cooperative Agreement regarding
taxes on Bonneville Power Lines across the counties providing the counties of
Lake and Klamath ratify the same.

At this time the Commission granted an easement to Andrew J. and Bonnie
Prusak for irrigation ditch purposes on that portion of county -owned land as
follows: Said easement being 10 feet in width and being 5 feet each side of
center line described below:
Beginning at a point on the east side of the County Road 316.49 feet North
and 1.80 feet West from the corner of Sections II -12-13-14 of Township 16 South,
Range 12 East of the Willamette Meridian, and running across the SW=, SWC of Sec.12
as follows: S 68`25148"E - 46.7 feet; thence S 88028'08"E - 49.55 feet; thence

IN THE MATTER OF LEASE
ON COUNTY -OWNED LANDS:
At this time the Commission granted a grazing lease of 2,601.72 acres to
Jack E. Gillette, Jr. for $570.39 per year.
IN THE MATTER OF
HEARING:
The Commission, on January 17, 1973, held a Hearing, and being as there
were no objections, did certify the list and description of ownership and the
assessment against each individual parcel of land in Local Improvement District
and did declare that the above mentioned property owners have 20 days to pay the
assessment in full or make application for payment plan or the lien will be
subject to foreclosure.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERMISSION GRANTED:

At this time the Commission granted permission to Eugene Elliott to cut dead
trees on county -owned land in Section 25, Township 16, Range 13.
IN THE MATTER OF
FEDERAL GRANT:
At this time the Commission went on record as endorsing procurement of
$50,000.00 Federal Grant for survey of mental health needs and resources in
Central Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF NOTICE
OF PUBLIC HEARING:
At this time the Commission gave notice of Public Hearing to be held at
10:00 a.m. on February 6, 1973, on a supplemental budget for fiscal year July I,
1972, to June 30, 1973.
IN THE MATTER OF
WARRANTY DEED:
At this time the Commission issued a warranty deed to Pika, Inc. for
partial release of mortgage under terms of contract dated December 28, 1971,
and recorded in Volume 181, Page 175, Deschutes County Deed Records.
IN THE MATTER OF WATER
SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF BEND:
At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with the City of Bend
for water service; and for installation of water facilities at a cost of $2,212.00
to be completed by January 26, 1974.
IN THE MATTER OF CONTRACT
BETWEEN DESCHUTES COUNTY AND E. M. WALDRON, SR:
At this time the Commission entered into contract with E. M. Waldron, Sr.
to remove existing bridges and construct new ones at the Fred Meyer and Elliott
bridge sites at $2,685.50 and $2,270.00 respectively.
IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHMENT
OF COUNTY ROADS:
The Commission, on January 17, 1973, held a Hearing and,beings there were
no objections nor remonstrances, did Order and Decree that WOODSIDE ROAD (1),
RIDGEVIEW DRIVE, COVENTRY CIRCLE, WOODSIDE (2) and PINE VISTA DRIVE be established
as described in Resolutions dated December 6, 1972, as county roads in Deschutes
County. The legal descriptions being given in the Commission minutes dated
December 6, 1972.
IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTIONS TO
ESTABLISH COUNTY ROADS:
At this time the Commission made Resolutions of its intention to establish
county roads in Deschutes County, Oregon, described as follows:
ALPINE CIRCLE - A strip of land for street purposes 60 feet in width, 30 feet each
side of centerline as platted on the official plat of Goldenrain as recorded in
the office of the County Clerk.

consideration of these Resolutions by the Board of Commissioners notifying all
persons concerned that said Resolutions will be considered and passed upon by this
Board at a meeting on the 21st of February, 1973, at which time the Board will

At this time the Commission agreed to permit use of County funds to pay
PEP employees for the full month of January. The County funds will be subject
to reimbursement with federal funds, following receipt of an executed contract
addenum.
At this time the Commission ordered the County Clerk to include on the
February payroll checks for Don Wilson and Sue Geurkink the amount deducted from
their January checks, which was $43.47 and $17.17 respectively.
There being no further business, Commission session was adjourned.
