EXCHANGE OF PROPERTIES:
At this time the Commission pursuant to ORS 275.100, resolved
to enter
into an exchange of lands with M.R.S. Corporation. Said lands
being described
as follows:
DESCHUTES COUNTY to M.R.S. Corporation:
All that portion of government lot #2, Section 7, T18S, R12EWM, lying
Northerly and Westerly of the northerly right-of-way of Century Drive
Highway (Oregon -Federal Highway Number 46.). Excepting therefrom the
dedicated public road as described in Commissioner's Journal Volume 9,
Page 326. Containing 26.45 acres more or less.
And in exchange, M.R.S. CORPORATION would deed to Deschutes County, Oregon:
All in Section 6, T18S, R12EWM. Beginning at the center k corner of Sec.
6, a I" steel pin, the true point of beginning; thence N 000 31130" W,
1291.44 feet, along the center section line, to a point which bears S
000 31' 30" E, 30.00 feet from the center North 1/16th corner; thence
N 890 56' 16" E, 301.15 feet; thence S 000 18' 09" W, 75.00 feet; thence
S 190 20' 16" E, 213.37 feet; thence S 060 06' 46" E, 147.27 feet; thence
S 010 21' 36" W, 138.82 feet; thence S 060 59' 24" E, 270.16 feet; thence
S 320 19' 24" E, 82.63 feet; thence S 060 44' 14" E, 156.43 feet; thence

A parcel of land lying in the NE4NW4, Section 7, T18S, R12EWM described
as follows: The Northerly 60.00 feet of said NE4NW4, Section 7, lying
West of the West right-of-way of the Century Drive Highway, (Oregon -
Federal Highway Number 46). Containing 0.330 acres more or less.
In addition, M.R.S. Corporation will pay to Deschutes County, Oregon the
sum of $9,500, plus interest at 7%, in five equal payments commencing October 18,
1973, and annually on or before the same month and day for four (4) years there-
after to meet the terms of the ORS.
It is Ordered that a hearing be held in the Deschutes County Courtroom at
10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, on the 18th day of October, 1972 for the hear-
ing of objections, if there be any, why said parcels should not be exchanged.
IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT
WITH STATE POLICE:
At this time the Commission entered into a ten-year Agreement with the
Oregon State Police for the use of the following: The East Z of the SW4 of
Section 14, T15S, R13EWM. These premises to be used as a firearms range for
Police Training purposes.
IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT
FOR TRANSMITTER SITE:
At this time the Commission entered into a 20 -year Agreement with Rheinholdt
TV & Communications for use of transmitter facilities on Awbrey Butte.
IN THE MATTER OF TIMBER
ACCESS & SALE ROADS:
At this time the Commission Resolved to endorse a policy relative to
financing the development of timber access and sale roads.
IN THE MATTER OF SALE
OF COUNTY PROPERTY:
At this time the Commission Ordered that the following county -owned proper-
ties be offered in the next county land sale:
Bend Park Addition: Lot 25, Blk. 66 and Lot 3, Blk. 67.
Bend Park 2nd Addition: Lot 15, Blk. 156 and Lot 4, Blk. 158.
Northwest Townsite Co. 2nd Addition: Lots 5 & 6, Blk. 44.
West Hills Addition: Lot I, Blk. 7.
Sunnyside Addition: Lot II, Blk. 6.
Townsite of Redmond: Lots I & 2, Blk. 21, Lots 5 & 6, Blk. 63, and

IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH
OREGON STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION:
At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement with the Oregon State
Highway Commission covering 2nd St. South Railroad Blvd. (Redmond) Section of
Pilot Butte Canal Bridge on Antler Ave., FAS 926, in Deschutes County.
IN THE MATTER OF BID FOR
MASONRY WORK:
At this time the Commission accepted the $405 bid of Central Oregon Masonry
Contractors to block up two windows in the Emergency Services office.
IN THE MATTER OF MARINE
FACILITY GRANT:
At this time the Commission received a commitment (File 674) from the State
Marine Board for funds in the amount of $16,895 for boating facility projects at
East and Paulina lakes.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL ACTION:
At this time the Commission approved the following personnel actions:
Granted Mary Ellen Church a salary increase to $405 per month effective
September 15, 1972.
Granted Ted Casey a salary increase to $629 per month effective September
22, 1972.

Termination of Frank C. Johnson from Circuit Court effective Sept. I, 1972.
Placed Mona J. Pruitt on the Circuit Court payroll as a Secretary III at
$492 per month effective Sept. 25, 1972.
Termination of Gerald L. Lueb from the Watermaster's department effective
Sept. 21, 1972.
Granted Jo Anne Cordis a salary increase to $367 per month effective
September 16, 1972.
Placed Joyce Johnson on the Clerk's payroll as a part-time clerk at $2.00
per hour effective September 21, 1972.
Granted the following overtime pay to the following Road Department employes:
Chris Steele, $18.29; Jeff Hall, $8.13.
Terminated Wendy Larson as Switchboard relief effective Sept. 25, 1972, and
from the Juvenile Department effective October 13, 1972.
Termination of Fred Carter from Abundant Food Department effective Sept. 20,
1972.
Granted Ken Detroit a salary increase to $842 per month effective Sept. I,
1972.
Placed Laurance K. Ferguson on the Juvenile Department payroll as a Counselor
at $764 per month effective October 11, 1972.
Placed Kirby Burwell on the Road Department payroll as a Maintenance Man I
at $517 per month effective October 2, 1972.
Placed Lynette G. Meier and Marlene J. Reid on the Tax Department payroll
as Clerks at $385 per month effective October 1, 1972.
Granted Mary Burgi a salary increase to $385 per month effective Oct. 17,
1972.
IN THE MATTER OF PERMITS GRANTED:
At this time the Commission granted permits to the following:
