This matter coming before the County Commission upon the
Planning Commission' -s petition who held a public hearing on this issue
November 14, 1972 and unanimously recommended approval, and,
The County Commission deeming this action to be in public
interest and the County Commission being advised, and,
Pursuant to Oregon Revised Statutes 215 requiring zoning
regulations to be established in counties, and,
Pursuant to County Zoning Ordinance PL -5,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED That the official Zoning Map #ZM-1 with zones
shown be adopted -zoning those areas within the confines of the following
legal description:
A-1 agricultural zoning for the unincorporated areas
described as beginning at the southeast corner of
Deschutes County and continuing northerly and westerly
along the county line to the northeast corner of
Deschutes County; thence westerly along the north
county line of Deschutes County to a point that is
described by the intersection of Deschutes National
Forest easterly boundary with the northerly
Deschutes County line; thence southerly along
Deschutes National Forest line to a point that intersects
with the southerly line of Deschutes County; thence
westerly to the point of beginning at the Southeast
corner of Deschutes County; excluding lands admin-
istered by the Bureau of Land Management, the urban
areas of Redmond and Sisters as described in the
Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan, the urban area
of Bend as described by the urban growth boundaries
as approved by the City of Bend, the Deschutes

County Planning Commission and the rural
service centers described in the Deschutes
County Comprehensive Plan known as Terrebonne
and Tumalo and excluding that property
lying north of Shevlin Park, west of the
Deschutes River, east of the Deschutes
National Forest eastern boundary and south
of the established 1990 Bend Comprehensive
Planning Boundary; including Planned
Development zoning(PD), established for the
area described as Sunriver and Black
la kButge
Ranch, as approved by the County
Commission.
It is further Ordered that the policies adopted by the Planning
Commission in conjunction with subject zoning are hereby ratified;
Finally, It is Ordered that all B.L.M. and other publicly
owned lands sold or exchanged for private use shall assume the same zoning
as those established on contiguous properties. In the case where more than
one zone exists on contiguous land, the most restrictive zone shall apply.
