IN THE MATTER OF APPr) 1 AITMGAITC . At this time the Commission appointed Bill Mayfield to fill an unexpired term on the County Fair Board expiring January I, 1973. At this time the Commission appointed Jack Robinson, Jim Bussard, Charles Plummer, and Dave Hoerning to serve on the Road Viewers Committee for four-year terms expiring August I, 1976. IN THE MATTER OF DESIGNATION OF NEWSPAPER FOR PUBLICATION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY WARRANTS: At this time the Commission designated the Redmond Spokesman as the news- paper for publication of the 1972 personal property warrants. IN THE MATTER OF OPENING OF SEALING COAT BIDS: At this time the bid opening was conducted by County Clerk, Rosemary Patterson, for the Seal Coating of various county road projects. The bid was awarded to low bidder, White Construction Co., for $136,425.00, for the coating of 33 miles of roads. IN THE MATTER OF HOME HEALTH VOL 15 PAGE 835 AGREEMENT - CROOK COUNTY: At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement with Crook County for the services of the Tri -County Home Health Agency for fiscal year 72-73 for the total consideration of $3,909.60. IN THE MATTER OF SOLID WASTE COLLECTION FRANCHISES: At this time the Commission Ordered that franchises for the collection of solid wastes and wastes in Deschutes County be granted to: Joseph M. Chotard & John A. Chotard, DBA - Bend Garbage Co. (2) Henry D. Hahn & Richard A. Hartzell, DBA - Central Oregon Disposal Service & Redmond Garbage Service Richard A. Brownrigg & Vicki A. Brownrigg, DBA - Cascade Sanitary Service, Kelvic Disposal Co. & Sun Country Disposal Edward P. Tabaka, DBA - La Pine Disposal Service for a period to end December 31, 1974. II, Wiestoria Addition IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT FOR lith JUDICIAL DISTRICT: At this time the Commission entered into a continuing Agreement with Crook, Jefferson, Grant, Gilliam, and Wheeler counties for administration of the budget of the Eleventh Judicial District. IN THE MATTER OF A BOND: At this time the Commission accepted a bond from Gladys S. Rathbone, James D. Rathbone and David H. Clough for easement obtained by the county as follows: Access Road Extension across Tax Lot 1700, Sec. 26, T20S, RIOE.,W.M. Deschutes County, Oregon. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: At this time the Commission Ordered F. C. Sholes as Tax Collector to make the following refund of taxes: Marvin E. Dan H. Heierman - NEiNW4, Sec. 11, T16S, R12E.,W.M. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commi-sion approved the following personnel actions: Placed Waldo D. Kleen on the Assessor's Department payroll as an Appraiser at $599 per month effective August I, 1972. Termination of Alberta DeWeese from Circuit Court effective July 21, 1972. Placed Michael R. Genna on the District Attorney's Department payroll as a Deputy District Attorney (Trainee) at $928 for six months, and $975 for five months effective August I, 1972. Placed E. Alberta DeWeese on the District Court payroll as a Deputy Clerk at $469 per month effective July 24, 1972. :XIC VOL 15 PACE 836 Granted Scott D. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH STATE FORESTRY FOR FIRE PROTECTION: At this time the Commission signed an agreement with the State Forestry Dept. for fire protection on county -owned lands. IN THE MATTER OF PERMITS GRANTED: At this time the Commission granted permits to the following: G. P. Construction Co. - access Paul H. Holsinger - five accesses Carl Spencer - move a building (2) Pacific Northwest Bell - buried cable permit #79031 IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF FIFTH ST. - TERREBONNE: At this time the Commission acting upon the petition of Leslie Dickinson and Walter King, Terrebonne, Oregon, resolved to vacate a portion of Fifth St. in Terrebonne, to -wit: Said portion of Fifth from Avenue A, north 150' to foot of 30' cliff. It is, therefore, ordered that copies of this Resolution, duly certified to as such by the County Clerk, shall be posted in three (3) places along the road to be vacated, and that a copy of the Resolution be placed on the Bulletin Board in the entrance of the Des. Co. Courthouse, Bend, Oregon; that Wednesday, September 6, 1972, at 10:00 a.m. Daylight Savings Time, at the County Courtroom, County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for the hearing of objections, if any therebe, why said portion of the road should not be vacated as a portion of the Deschutes County Road System. -5- Vol. 15 PacF 837 IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE TOWNSITE OF HILLMAN: At this time the Commission acting upon the petition of Clayton E. Heisler and Joanne V. Heisler, Terrebonne, Oregon, resolved to vacate a portion of Hillman, to -wit: All of Block 158 and Block 159; and that portion of Block 146 lying N. of Smith Rock Road; and that portion of Block 160 lying N. of Smith Rock Road, along with that portion of 17th Street lying N. of Smith Rock Road and terminating at the Oregon Trunk Railroad right- of-way, that portion of "B" Street lying E. of the Oregon Trunk Rail- road right-of-way and commencing at the Oregon Trunk Railroad right- of-way and terminating at the Westerly right-of-way line of 18th street and that portion of "C" Avenue lying east of the Oregon Trunk Railroad right-of-way commencing at the right-of-way and terminating at the Westerly right-of-way line of 18th street, all being in the Townsite of Hillman, according to the official map and plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Clerk of the County of Deschutes, State of Oregon. It is, Therefore, Ordered that copies of this Resolution, duly certified to as such by the Co. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF KNOTTS ROAD: The Commission, on August 2, 1972 held a Hearing on its intention to vacate a portion of Knotts Road as described in the Commission minutes dated June 21, 1972. It is hereby ordered that the portion as described shall be and the same is hereby vacated as there were no objections at said Hearing. There being no further business, Commission session was adjourned.
