The above matter having come before the Board at a regular session,
and
IT APPEARING to the Board that the applicant herein after referred to has
applied to the Deschutes County Solid Waste Committee for a franchise to collect
solid wastes and wastes as provided in Article IV of the Deschutes County Solid
Wastes Collection and Disposal Ordinance in the area defined by the attached legal
description which by this reference is made a part hereof and at the rates shown
on the attached schedule which by this reference is made a part hereof, and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to the Board that the Deschutes County Solid Waste
Committee has thoroughly reviewed the application, a copy of which is attached
hereto and by this reference is made a part hereof, for a said franchise and
certified that the applicant has met all of the qualifications and requirements
of the Deschutes County Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Ordinance and has
recommended to the Board of County Commissioners that it grant said franchise
as applied for to expire on December 31, 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE:
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED y the Board of County Commissioners that Edward P.
Tabaka DBA LaPine Dispos Service be granted a ' franchise for the collection
of solid wastes and was as applied for for a pe ' d to end December 31, 1974.

ATTENTION.- Mr. Dave Horning
As indicated by his approval hereon, I have this
day purchased from Edgar Pittman, Jr., his right, title
and interest under that certain garbage collection and
trash disposal franchise granted him under ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Deschutes County,
Oregon, to serve that area South of Spring River road,
North of the Southerly Deschutes County, Oregoncover-
ing the inhabited (save incorporated communities3 areas
on either side of Highway 97 and tributary thereto.
Mr. Pittman has -delivered me his list of customers,
agreed to notify them and promote my service with them and
other potentional customers, and has furthor agreed to
assist in connection with this trnas:fer by execution of any
further documents or agreements in writing required by the
proper officials of Deschutes County, all as approved by
my attorney, Donald V. McCallum, 1627 E. -Third St.,, Bend,
Oregon. Should they be required, they will be provided
through Mr. McCallum at my expense.
The purchase from Mr.. Pittman is under a contract,
payment upon which will be completed by me in December,
on the 5th thereof, 1972, but I am taking over his rights
under said franchise forthwith and providing service there-
under from this date forth.
Please advise me, or Mr. McCallum, of any further
assurances -you may require.
