IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFER OF FUNDS: At this time the Commission Ordered the County Treasurer to close the Bookmobile Reserve Fund account, and transfer the balance to the Deschutes County Library Fund. At this time the Commission Ordered the County Treasurer to transfer $82,000 from the Land Sale Fund to the General Fu.nd. At this time the Commission Ordered the County Treasurer to transfer the balance of the Marine Patrol Fund, as of June 30, 1972, to the Emergency Ser- vices non -tax fund. IN THE MATTER OF COUNTY PAYROLL: At this time the Commission, having requested a vote of all employees, and it appearing that a majority preferred one payday each month, Ordered that effective July I, 1972, Deschutes County's payroll date will be the last working day of each month, with no optional draw day. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF BEND: At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with the City of Bend for the development and improvement of Newport Ave. from College Way to W. 9th Street. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT: At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with Keith Parkinson -3- VOL 15 FADE 650 for the removal and salvage of a barn located on the Northwest Market Road project. IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENTS: At this time the Commission appointed Claude Buck, A. C. Goodrich, and Laura Wonser to serve on the Des. Co. Pioneer Museum Board for two-year terms expiring June I, 1974. IN THE MATTER OF VETERANS' AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY: At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with Jefferson Co. for the services of the Veterans' Service Officer from July I, 1972 to June 30, 1973. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: At this time the Commission Ordered the following refunds of taxes: Vinton L. Green R. T. Jensen Robert E. McNutt John Barry At At this time the Commission Ordered refund of taxes from the General Fund: Frank Eggler IN THE MATTER OF NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector to make Double Payment $ 59.36 Double Payment 24.24 Double Payment 55.40 Double Payment 14.11 the County Clerk to make the following Assessor's error $267.46 At this time the Commission gave notice of a public hearing to be held at 10:00 a.m., June 29, 1972 on a supplemental budget for fiscal year July I, 1971 to June 30, 1972. IN THE MATTER OF WARRANTY DEEDS: At this time the Commission issued warranty deeds to Pika, Inc. for three partial releases of mortgages under terms of a contract dated February 19, 1971 and recorded in Vol. 14, page 829, Des. Co. Deed records. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commission approved the termination of Ivan Compton from the Sheriff's department, effective May 28, 1972. At this time the Commission approved a salary increase for Maxine Baptiste to $332 per month effective June I, 1972. Mrs. Baptiste will have satisfactoril, completed her six -months probation period on June 13, 1972. At this time the Commission approved a salary increase for Lowell Kelly to $425 per month effective June 3, 1972. Mr. Kelly will have satisfactorily completed his six -months probation period on that date. At this time the Commission approved the termination of Ray Davis from the Road Department. At this time the Commission granted a leave of absence from June 5, to August 31, 1972 to Doris Knighten, Clerk in the Assessor's office. At this time the Commission approved the appointment of Dick Scheibner as Chief Appraiser at a salary of $842 per month effective July 1, 1972. At this time the Commission approved the request of N. J. Donat to place Phillip Goold on the Assessor's payroll as an Appraiser at a salary of $764 per month effective June 12, 1972. -4- VOL 15 FACE 651 IN THE MATTER OF A LEASE OF COUNTY LAND: At this time the Commission entered into a grazing lease with Wildwood Properties Corp. for the SW14NW4, WISW4, Sec. 24, and the NWJNWµ, Sec. 25, Twp. 14 S., R. II E.,W.M. IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING A PIPELINE: At this time the Commission granted a permit to R. D. Kerr, Kerr Realty, to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF MOVING A BUILDING: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Carl Spencer to move a building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF CONSTRUCTING AN ACCESS: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Ralph V. Litchfield to construct an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
