At this time the Commission noted that Charles Plummer was present at
the morning session.
IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENT
TO ROAD ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
At this time the Commission appointed Ivan Block to fill the vacant
position on the Road Advisory Committee. This appointment expires July 1, 1973
IN THE MATTER OF RENEWAL

At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with the City of
Bend for the services of the County Planning Director, Lorin Morgan, for the
fiscal year 1971-72. In consideration of these services, the City of Bend
agrees to pay $7,800 to the Deschutes County Planning Department.
IN THE MATTER OF
REFUND OF TAXES:
At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector to make
the following refund of taxes:
Bank of Central Oregon & Bruce McCord Double Assessment $161.17

PERSONNEL ACTION: VOL
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Whitchurch
to place Doris Thornton on the payroll as vacation relief for Evelyn Gasbar,
at a rate of $8.50 per 4 -hour shift.
At this time the Commission approved the request of N. J. Donat to place
Doris E. Knighten on the payroll of the Assessor's office as a Clerk 2 at a
salary of $349.00 per month effective September 20, 1971.
At this time the Commission approved the request of F. C. Sholes to
place Nell Rynerson on the payroll of the Tax Department as an Accounting
Clerk (Part time) at a salary of $350.00 per month effective October 4, 1971.
IN THE MATTER OF ROAD
EQUIPMENT BUILDING - LAPINE:
At this time the Commission approved the bid of Mt. View Construction,
555 S. 13th, Redmond, for the construction of a County Road Equipment Building
at LaPine for the total sum of $12,120.00.
IN THE MATTER OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE FOREST SERVICE:
At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with the Forest
Service for the development of three marine facility projects. #I: Paulina
Lake Campground Boat Ramp #2 in the amount of $3,030. #2: Cinder Hill Camp-
ground Boat Ramp #1 in the amount of $4,205. #3: Cinder Hill Campground
Boat Ramp #2 in the amount of $3,325. For a total of $10,560 of Forest Service
material and services which will be matched by like amount from funds received
from the State Marine Board.
IN THE MATTER OF VACATION
OF A PUBLIC ROAD R/W:
The Commission on September 20, 1971 held a Hearing on its intention to
vacate a portion of Sec. 32, Township 14 S., Range 13 E.,W.M. as described in
the Commission minutes dated August 18, 1971. It is hereby ordered that the
property as described shall be and the same is hereby vacated as there were
no objections at said Hearing.
IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF PORTIONS
OF "G" AVE., "H" AVE., b 14th ST. IN
TERREBONNE:
At this time the Commission acting upon the petition of Victor Livingston
residing in Terrebonne, Deschutes County, Oregon, resolved to vacate portions
of three streets in Terrebonne commonly known as "G" Ave., "H" Ave., and 14th
St. to -wit:
All that portion of "G" Avenue from the East right-of-way line
of 13th Street to West right-of-way line of 15th Street accord-
ing to the official plat thereof, as filed in the office of the
County Clerk, said plat being of Hillman located in Terrebonne,
Oregon. This vacation is subject to all the present easements.
All that portion of "H" Avenue from the East right-of-way line
of 13th Street to the West right-of-way line of 15th street
according to the official plat of Hillman Addition, Terrebonne,
Oregon, as recorded in the office of the Deschutes County Clerk.
This vacation is subject to all the present easements.
All that portion of 1114th" Street from the North right-of-way
line of "F" Avenue to North line of the site of Hillman in
Terrebonne, all in accordance to the official plat thereof, as
filed 1n the office of theCounty Clerk. This vacation is sub-
ject to all the present easements.
It is, therefore, ordered that copies of these Resolutions, duly certi-
fied to as such by the County Clerk, shall be posted in three (3) places along
the streets to be vacated, and that a copy of the Resolutions be placed on the

Bulletin Board in the entrance of the Deschutes County Courthouse, Bend,
Oregon; that Monday, November 8, 1971, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time,
at the County Courtroom, County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon, be and the same is
hereby fixed as the time and place for the hearing of objections, if any
therebe, why said portions of the above described streets should not be
vacated as portions of the Deschutes County Road System.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERMITS GRANTED:
At this time the Commission granted the following permits: #78460,
#78453, #78499, #78474, and #78452 to Pacific Northwest Bell to construct
buried cable on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLING PIPELINES:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Avion Water Company
to install a 4" water line on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
At this time the Commission granted a permit to A. L. Peden to install
a waterline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Mike Sellard to install
a waterline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF RESIGNATION
FROM BUDGET COMMITTEE:
At this time the Commission accepted the resignation of Donald D. Hinman
from the County Budget Committee effective October I, 1971.
