Cox were present at the morning session. IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENTS TO EXTENSION ADVISORY COUNCIL: At this time the Commission reappointed AI Hollowell, Mrs. Dean Ford, and Mrs. Neil Davis to the Deschutes County Extension Advisory Council for 3 -year terms expiring October I, 1974. IN THE MATTER OF PROPERTY REDEMPTION: At this time the Commission approved the redemption by Francis L. Grote of . A parcel of land lying in the West Half of the Northwest Quarter (WjNW4) of Section 33, Twp. 14 S., Range 13 E.,W.M., said parcel of land being particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said West Half of the Northwest Quarter (WINW4), which said point is at a distance of 1914 feet, measured Southerly along the said East line from the North line of said West Half of the Northwest Quarter (WINWZ'r); thence running West a distance of 660 feet; thence South a distance of 198 feet; thence East a distance of 660 feet; thence 198 feet North, more or less, to the point of beginning. for the sum of $124.42 being the amount of delinquent taxes, interest, and penalty to October 15, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT #I: At this time the Commission made an Order Establishing Special Road District #I, describing the exterior boundary , and named the three Commis- sioners for the district. This Order Establishing was done nunc pro tunc August 4, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF LEASES ON COUNTY LANDS: At this time the Commission E. B. Sahlstrom & H. A. Schaffer. At this time the Commission Butte to Bend Aggregate & Paving. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: approved a grazing lease on county land to approved a transmitter site lease on Awbrey At this time the Commission approved the appointment of Russell Q. Chase as Acting Veterans' Service Officer at a salary of $570 per month effective October 5, 1971. At this time the Commission approved the termination of Brenda Crozier from the Assessors Office effective November 1, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF FUNDS FOR DUTCH STOVER PARK: At this time the Commission directed the County Treasurer to forward Oregon State Highway Division Warrent No. 15345 in the amount of $4,925.00 to the Bend Parks & Recreation Department for costs incurred by the City of Bend in developing Dutch Stover Park. -4- + , 1 IN THE MATTER OF EQUIPMENT ' VOL V5 PAcE 419 FOR LA PINE ROAD EQUIPMENT BUILDING: At this time the Commission approved the bid of C $ K Petroleum Equip. Company, P. 0. Box 890, Bend, to furnish and install equipment at the La Pine equipment building. IN THE MATTER OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: At this time the Commission gave notice that bids for three dump trucks and four 3/4 ton pick-ups will be opened on October 29, 1971 at 10:00 a.m. in the office of the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners IN THE MATTER OF PERMITS GRANTED: At this time the Commission granted the following permits: #78485, and R.O. Buried Wire - Spring River Rd. to Pacific Northwest Bell to construct buried cable on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING PIPELINE: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Cascade Natural Gas to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT - EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1971: At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement with the State of Oregon, Human Resources Department, Employment Division for county partici- pation in the Emergency Employment Act of 1971.
