The Commission noted that Charles Plummer was present at the morning
session.
IN THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHING POLICY
FOR SALE OF COUNTY LANDS:
At this time the Commission revised the Order of October 15, 1969,
Establishing Policy For Sale of County Lands. (See attached)
IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT WITH
NORTH CENTURY SEVEN INC.:
At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with North Century
Seven, Inc. for the purpose of maintaining two information signs at locations
on the right-of-way of the West Campbell Road and the East Campbell Road.
This agreement is for a period of two years with the rental price for both
signs to be $30.00 per year.
IN THE MATTER OF
LEASE ON COUNTY LAND:
At this time the Commission approved a grazing lease on county land to
William E. Miller.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL ACTION:
At this time the Commission approved the request of F. C. Sholes to
place Oma Gray Roley on the payroll of the Sheriff's Department as a half-time
Secretary at $150.00 per month effective March 18, 1971.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Elsie Holechek to
place Donald H. Porter on the payroll as part-time help for the Abundant Food
Center at $1.75 per hour.
At this time the Commission noted the termination of services of Neal
J. King as Director of the J -J Boys Ranch effective April 30, 1971.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to

place John Conway on the payroll of the Solid Waste Fund as caretaker of the
Arnold Sanitary Landfill, effective March 15, 1971 at the rate of $1.00 per
hour.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to
place James L. Benning on the payroll of the Solid Waste Fund as caretaker of
the Negus Landfill site, effective March 15, 1971 at the rate of $1.00 per hour
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to
promote Keith Palmer to party chief of the engineering and survey crew for
the Road Department. The rate of pay would be $685.00 per month effective
April I, 1971.
IN THE MATTER OF
REFUND OF TAXES:
At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to
make the following refund of taxes:

Donna Rahn Overpayment 40.30
IN THE MATTER OF
MOVING A BUILDING:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Carl Spencer to move
a building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLING A PIPELINE:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Frank Zomprelli to
install a 3/4" water service line on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
IBM AGREEMENT:
At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with International
Business Machines Corporation for IBM Machine Service, IBM Program Products,
and IBM Systems Engineering Services.
