IN THE MATTER OF SALARY FOR DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES: At this time the Commission Ordered that the Deschutes County Clerk increase the salary of W. Lester Houk, Director of Emergency Services, from $140.00 per month to $280.00 per month retroactive to April I, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF POLICY REGARDING BUDGETS: -2- vol_ 14 wrl654 At this time the Commission Resolved as a matter of emergency to ask all Department Heads to instruct their employees not to order any services or supplies during the balance of this budget year even though budgeted. This policy to go into effect with the certification for payment of bills submitted after April 21, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF CERTAIN STREETS IN LAPINE: The Commission on April 30, 1971 held a Hearing on its intention to vacate certain streets in LaPine as described in the Commission Minutes dated March 17, 1971. It is hereby ordered that the streets as described shall be and the same are hereby vacated as there were no objections at said Hearing. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF SALZER STREET IN LAPINE: The Commission on April 30, 1971 held a Hearing on its intention to vacate a portion of Salzer Street in LaPine as described in the Commission Minutes dated March 17, 1971. It is hereby ordered that the street as des- cribed shall be and the same is hereby vacated as there were no objections at said Hearing. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commission approved the request of W. F. Jones to place Eric F. Larson on the J -J Boys Ranch payroll as Director at the rate of $693.00 per month effective May I, 1971. At this time the Commission noted the termination of employment of Richard A. Long, Counselor for the Juvenile Department, effective May 14, 1971. At this time the Commission approved the request of W. F. Jones to place Wayne B. Hamilton Jr. on the Juvenile Department payroll as Counselor at the rate of $200.00 per month effective May 17, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to make the following refund of taxes: Commonwealth Inc. Double payment $ 16.50 Dale F. Kettle Double payment 131.47 Donald D. Hinman Double payment 42.54 IN THE MATTER OF BEER LICENSE RENEWAL: At this time the Commission approved the following renewal application for a beer license: Name Place Kind Reed, Howard b Jessie L. Paulina Lake Lodge RMBB IN THE MATTER OF PERMIT GRANTED: At this time the Commission granted permit #78218 to Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone to construct buried cable on or across Deschutes County right - of -way. IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING PIPELINES: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Marlon Jannuzzi to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. 26M vol- 1-4 PA("'E655 At this time the Commission granted a permit to Paul Meyer to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF CONSTRUCTING AN ACCESS: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Donald H. Sawyer to construct an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR GAS $ DIESEL FUEL: At this time the Commission issued a Call for Bids for the petroleum needs of the County for the period July I, 1971 to June 30, 1972. Bids will be opened at 10:00 a.m. on June 16, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TREASURER TO BORROW FUNDS: At this time the Commission Resolved that, for the purpose of meeting current expenses for which provision has been made in the duly adopted budget of this County, the County Treasurer is authorized to borrow the sum of $100,000.00.
