The Commission noted that Charles Plummer, Jean Frederick, Lorin Morgan,
and Al Smith were present at the morning session.
IN THE MATTER OF CREDITING
LAND SALE REVENUE TO MUSEUM FUND:
At this time the Commission Ordered the County Treasurer to credit 1%
of Land Sale revenues to the Museum Fund effective with Land Sale #304 held
February 19, 1971.
IN THE MATTER OF SHERIFF COMPLYING
WITH GRAND JURY REPORT:
At this time the Commission Ordered the County Sheriff to comply with
the recommendations regarding the jail and facilities as presented in the
Grand Jury Report for the 1971 Spring Term of Court.
IN THE MATTER OF PARTICIPATION IN
"CLEAN UP DAY":
At this time the Commission approved the recommendation of Charles
Plummer to participate in the annual "Clean Up Day" sponsored by the Bend
Jaycee's by donating the services of two dump trucks with operators for four
hours on June 5, 1971.
IN THE MATTER OF
REFUND OF TAXES:
At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to
make the following refund of taxes:

IN THE MATTER OF BIDS FOR
ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVING:
At this time the Commission issued an Advertisement for Bids for
Asphaltic Concrete Paving for the Butler Market Road and various bridge
approaches. Bids will be opened at 10:00 AM, July I, 1971.
IN THE MATTER OF DISPOSITION
OF LAND SALE REVENUES:
At this time the Commission Ordered the County Treasurer to transfer
the balance in the Land Sale Fund as of June 10, 1971 to the General Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
TRANSFER OF FUNDS:
At this time the Commission Ordered the County Treasurer to transfer
$800.00 from the Dog Control Fund to the Pickup Reserve Fund and Crematorium
Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF NOTICE
OF PUBLIC HEARING:
At this time the Commission gave notice of a public hearing to be held
at 10:00 AM, June 30, 1971 on a proposed supplemental budget for the fiscal
year 70-71.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL ACTION:
At this time the Commission noted the termination of employment of
Barry M. Lewis as night supervisor for the J -J Boys Ranch effective June 5,
1971.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Eric Larson to
place James L. Clark on the J -J Boys Ranch payroll as night supervisor at
the rate of $150.00 per month effective June 5, 1971.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer
to place Kenneth Cerotsky on the Road Department payroll as a Civil Engineer
at a monthly salary of $825.00. After 6 months probation, salary will be
$842.00.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer
to place Leonard Parker, Christopher Steele, Steven Glazier, and Glen Plag-
mann on the Road Department payroll at $2.58 per hour to work on the patching
crew. This action would be effective June 14, 1971.
At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer
to place Carroll Penhollow on the Road Department payroll to work on the
patching crew at a monthly rate of $660.00.
IN THE MATTER OF
MOVING A BUILDING:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Carl Spencer to move
a building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLING A PIPELINE:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to United Telephone Co.
of the NW to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERMITS GRANTED:
At this time the Commission granted Permit #78300 to Pacific Northwest
Bell to construct buried cable on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.

IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT FOR EASEMENT:
At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement by and between
Tumalo Irrigation District granting an easement for a road for public and
private access to the Deschutes County owned Tumalo refuse pit. (See attached)
IN THE MATTER OF VACATION
OF SIXTH ST. IN TUMALO:
The Commission on June 14, 1971, held a Hearing on its intention to
vacate a road commonly referred to as Sixth Street of Tumalo (Laidlaw) as
described in the Commission Minutes dated May 5, 1971. It is hereby ordered
that the road as described shall be and the same is hereby vacated as there
were no objections at said Hearing.
There being no further business, Commission session was adjourned.
