OWNED LANDS:
The Commission at this time executed the following Deeds for county -
owned lands:
Deschutes County to Emil P. and Laurabelle J. Boesch, husband and wife,
Lots 13, 14, 15, Block 1, Deschutes River Acres, for the sum of $1500.00.;
Deschutes County to Emil P. and Laurabelle J. Boesch, husband and wife,
Lots 6 & 7, Block 1, Deschutes River Acres, for the sum of $1000.00.
Deschutes County to John K. O'Leary: S-1/2N-1/2SE-1/4 Sect. 7, less the
Hwy. right-of-way, Twp. 20 S., Range 17 E., W.M. (38.5 acres, more or less)
for the sum of $1500.00.
Deschutes County to Frank J. and Dolores L. Harris, husband and wife:
The South 400 feet of SE-1/4SW-1/4 Sec. 14 (except the east 1020 feet),
Twp. 18 S., R. 12 E., W.M. (2.76 acres, more or less), for the sum of $1150.00.
Deschutes County to Charles J. or Dorothy Harrington: Lots 1 & 2,
Block 23, Davidsons Addition, Sisters, for the sum of $1,000.00.

At this time the Commission ordered the petition for a vacation of that
portion of the Jordan Road from Cloverdale and Slayton intersection westerly
to its junction with Highway 20, to be referred to inspection of the Road
Advisory Board.
IN THE MATTER OF
ATTENDANCE:
The Commission noted that those present at the session were: Charles L.
Plummer, Lorin Morgan, Charles Whitchurch, Newell Baker and Vern Robinson.
IN THE MATTER OF
PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR:
At this time the Commission ordered the Clerk to place the name of
Earl Son on the payroll as a private investigator for the District Attorney
of Deschutes County, for a period of two and one-half months, at a salary of
$500.00 per month, effective November 18, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
POWER LINE CLEARANCE:
At this time the Commission authorized permission to the Midstate
Electric Cooperative, Inc. to clear ten (10) feet off the west side of
Lots 1, 31 and 32, Block 3, LaPine Acres in Township 22 S., Range 10 E.W.M.,
Section 8, for power line purposes.
IN THE MATTER OF
CROOK COUNTY
FAMILY COUNSELLING:
At this time the Commission approved in principle the proposal of Crook
County to contract for services as set out in the November 10, 1970 letter
of Charles Whitchurch of Family Counselling Clinic of Deschutes County.

IN THE MATTER OF
LEASE AGREEMENT:
The Commission at this time entered into an Agreement with Leagjeld
Construction Company leasing the premises located at 168 Greenwood Avenue,
Bend, Oregon, for five years commencing November 10, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHMENT OF
ROSLAND ROAD:
The Commission, on November 25, 1970, held a Hearing and beings there
were no objections, did order and decree that Rosland Road be established as
described in a previous Resolution dated the 21st day of October, 1970, as
a County road in Deschutes County.
IN THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHMENT OF
PINE MOUNTAIN ROAD:
The Commission, on November 25, 1970, held a Hearing and beings there
were no objections nor remonstrances, did Order and Decree that Pine Mountain
Road be established as a County road in Deschutes County. The legal descrip-
tion being given in the Commission Minutes dated Oc tober 21, 1970 in said
Resolution.
IN THE MATTER OF
COUNTY SANITARIAN:
The Commission at this time granted the request for Phillip A. Minor
to attend the New Sanitarians Orientation course for the period of January 18,
1971 through January 22, 1971 at the State office Building in Portland, Oregon.
and John Glover to attend from December 14 through Dec. lb, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
SOLID WASTE AGREEMENT:
At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement with Elmer Curtis
to provide compaction and coverage of solid waste at five county refuse pits,
to -wit: Sisters Pit, Tumalo Pit, Lower Bridge Pit, Fryrear Pit and Cline
Falls Pit. The term of this Agreement shall be three months beginning Dec. 1,
1970 and ending March 1, 1971.
IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT --JUVENILE COURT
AND WELFARE DEPARTMENT:
At this time an Agreement was signed that is to define inter -related
functions of Deschutes County Juvenile Court and Deschutes County Public
Welfare Department in order to give more comprehensive social services to
children in the community who are dependent, neglected, deprived, abandoned
or abused.
IN THE MATTER OF
MOVING A BUILDING:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to K. J. Holman to
move a building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLING A
PIPELINE:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to David Dunn (Dunn
Excavating) to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-
way.
