After much discussion the Commission moved that there will be a continued hearing, with information to be mailed to those in attendance; and publicity given as to the next date of consideration. IN THE MATTER OF ROAD DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL: At this time the Commission recommended approval and ordered that an increase in salary for Robert Reif be granted, with the salary to be $575.00 per month, effective December 1, 1970. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A STREET: The Commission at this time resolved that Lodgepole Drive from the south line of Ponderosa Street and Ponderosa Street from the west line of Lodgepole Drive to the south section line in the Southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 18 S., Range 12 E., W.M. as platted in official plat in Way West Properties, on file in the Deschutes County Clerk's office, be hereby vacated. And it is further ordered that Charles L. Plummer, Deschutes County Roadmaster, post notices of the proposed vacation in three (3) con- spicuous places and that the date of Hearing shall be January 6, 1971, at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time, in the Deschutes County Courtroom, Des- chutes County Courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF EXTENSION ON PURCHASE: At this time the Commission wrote a letter granting an extension of one (1) year on Item #9 of the original contract, dated May 21, 1968, to Jack Robinson & Sons, Inc. With this extension the industrial facility must be completed by May 21, 1974. IN THE MATTER OF EXTRA HELP IN TAX OFFICE: At this time the Commission unanimously agreed to extend the extra help in the Tax Office Department through the month of February, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF WARRANTY DEED: The Commission at this time executed a Warranty Deed to United States of America, properties situated in Deschutes County, State of Oregon, which are in consideration of the exchange for certain lands to be deeded to Deschutes County from the United State of America. (Attached is a copy of these lands). IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING A PIPELINE: The Commission at this time granted a permit to City of Redmond to construct 6" peipline water main on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF MOVING A BUILDING: At this time the Commission granted to Merritt A. Horner a permit to move a building 10' x 12' on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. -4- IN THE MATTER OF BURIED CABLE PERMIT: VOL 14 PALE "114-4 At this time the Commission granted a permit to Pacific Northwest Bell for conduit buried cable, 48" deep, on the Butler Market Road.
