Jorgensen 556.16 Naomi Lynn 2.58 per hour IN THE MATTER OF PROPERTY REDEMPTION: At this time the Commission approved the request of Dorothy Hackleman to redeem Tax Lot #5000, Twp. 17 S., Range 14 E.,W.M. upon the payment of $468.50 being the amount of delinquent taxes, interest and penalty to August 15, 1971, and $175 estimated taxes for 1971-72. At this time the Commission approved the redemption by Bernadine M. Hudson of: The NJ, Block 175, Hillman, together with 1.12 acres of Central Oregon Irrigation District water rights appurtenant thereto, upon the payment of $938.15, being the amount of delinquent taxes, interest, and penalty to August 15, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF TRUST FUND: At this time the Commission upon the request of the Circuit Court Judges Ordered the County Treasurer to establish a Trust Fund for the Ilth Judicial District, Circuit Court, State of Oregon, for the fiscal year July 1, 1971 to June 30, 1972, and for future years as per Agreement made July 1, 1971. And pay, from said trust fund, all lawful expenses of the Circuit Court, as budgeted, in accordance with approved vouchers, orders of the Circuit Court and as required by law. IN THE MATTER OF HOME HEALTH AGENCY AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY: At this time the Commission entered into an agreement with Jefferson County for the services of the Tri -County Home Health Agency for the total sum of $3,724.32 payable to Deschutes County in equal quarterly payments of $931.08. The term of this contract is from July I, 1971 to July I, 1972. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL ACTION: At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to advance Welborn Parker two steps, from $655.00 to $728.00 per month. At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to advance Robert Reif two steps, from $575.00 to $629.00 per month. At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to advance Douglas Hartzell through re-classification to Maintenance Man II at a salary of $599.00 per month. At this time the Commission approved the request of Charles Plummer to advance John Anderson two steps, from $655.00 to $728.00 per month. At this time the Commission upon the petition of the County Health Officer ordered the Clerk to place Jay Langley on the payroll as Sanitarian I at a salary of $656.00 per month, effective August 2, 1971. At this time the Commission approved under protest the termination of employment of Elizabeth M. Matchett as Secretary in the District Attorney's Office. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT LABORERS UNION, LOCAL #915: At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement with Laborers Union, Local #915, for the representation of the Sheriff's Department personnel including law enforcement, tax department, jail, and clerical functions, excluding only elected officials and supervisors; in matters pertaining to rates of pay, hours of work fringe benefits, and other matters pertaining to employment. IN THE MATTER OF OPENING OF SEALING COAT BIDS: At this time the bid opening was conducted by the County Clerk, Rose- mary Patterson, for the Seal Coating of certain county roads. The bid was awarded to the low bidder, Babler Brothers, for $42,631.60, for the coating of 21.36 total miles of roads. IN THE MATTER OF HEARING FOR PROPOSED FORMATION OF SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT #I: A Hearing was held July 28, 1971 at 10:00 AM, in the District Courtroom, on the Proposed Formation of Special Road District #i. The Commission will take the matter under advisement with a decision to be made by August 4, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOL DISTRICT: At this time the Commission approved the recommendation of Charles Plummer to provide equipment and operators to assist the School District in landscaping projects. IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING A PIPELINE: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Mr. E. Wilder to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PUBLIC ROAD R/W: At this time the Commission acting upon the petition of M.R.S. Company, Inc., P. 0. Box 587, Bend, Oregon, resolved to vacate a portion of Sec. 14, Twp. 17 S., Range 11, E.,W.M. to -wit: The Easterly 60 feet of the NEkSEkNW4, Sec. 14, Twp. 17 S., Range II E.,W.M. It is, therefore, ordered that copies of this Resolution, duly certified to as such by the County Clerk, shall be posted in three (3) places along the road to be vacated, and that a copy of this Resolution be placed on the Bulletin Board in the entrance of the Deschutes County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon; that Friday, August 27, 1971, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, at the County Courtroom County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for the hearing of objections, if any therebe, why said portion of the road should not be vacated as a portion of the Deschutes County Road System. -7- I t . IN THE MATTER OF A PORTION OF WEST PUMICE: VOL F.QGE _ 3 At this time the Board of Commissioners made a resolution of its inten- tion to establish a county road in Deschutes County, Oregon, described as follows: All that portion of West Pumice described as follows: Beginning at a point on the West right-of-way line of 26th Street thence West a distance of 277.57 feet to the East right-of-way line of 27th Street, all according to the official plat as recored in the office of the County Clerk. And it is further ordered that the County Roadmaster or his duly qualified deputy shall give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof, properly certified to as such by the County Clerk, at the place of holding County Court and also at three public places in the vicinity of said proposed road thirty days previous to the consideration of this Resolution by the Board of County Commissioners, notifying all persons concerned that said Resolution will be considered and passed upon by this Board of County Commis- sioners at a meeting on the 27th day of August, 1971, at which time the Board of County Commissioners will consider any objections or remonstrances which may be filed on account of said proposed road.
