IN THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHMENT OF
ABILENE COURT:
The Commission, on January 20, 1971, held a Hearing and beings there
were no objections nor remonstrances, did Order and Decree that Abilene Court
be established as described in a previous Resolution dated the 16th day of
December, 1970, as a County Road in Deschutes County. The legal description
being given in the Commission Minutes dated December 16, 1970 in said Resolu-
tion.
IN THE MATTER OF
SOLID WASTE
ORDINANCE:
At this time the Commission moved to Amend Ordinance CG -4 and establish
a rate of .254t per cubic yard for industrial and demolition material, and to
extablish a rate per 100 pounds for tires.
IN THE MATTER OF
PROCEDURE FOR APPROVAL
FOR SICK LEAVE AND
HOLIDAY PAY:
At this time the Commission moved to review the present order covering
Approval for Sick Leave. The following additions were made: "After the
third day of sickness, verification by the employee's physician will be
required." "AND IT IS FURTHER ORDERED That all employees must work the first
working day prior to a holiday and the first working day after the holiday
to qualify for holiday pay, unless excused in writing by their immediate
supervisor." This order supersedes order of August 5, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
OFFICIAL PUBLICATION:
At this time the Commission designated the Bend Bulletin as the official
publication for Delinquent Property Tax Notices.
IN THE MATTER OF
A DEED:
The Commission at this time executed the following Deed for county -
owned land:
Deschutes County to Chester W. Crist and Rhoda J. Crist, husband and
wife, the S1 SEµ NEµ and the Wj NWµ SEµ NEµ of Sec. 21, Twp. 15 S., R. 13
E.,W.M., less the westerly 30' and southerly 30' for public road right-of-way,
for the sum of $2,500.00.
IN THE MATTER OF
LEASES ON COUNTY LANDS:
At this time the Commission approved grazing leases on county lands
to the following: Leo Fehrenbacher, H. C. Fennell.
IN THE MATTER OF
KNOTT BRIDGE:
At this time the Commissioners ordered the Roadmaster to cancel any
plans to construct the Knott Bridge due to the cutback of Forest Receipts
in the Road Department.

MOVING A BUILDING:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Carl Spencer to
move a building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLING A
PIPELINE:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Jack Wanichek to
install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right of way.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONSTRUCTING AN
ACCESS:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Henry Lin to construct
an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
SALARY RAISE:
At this time it was moved by G. W. McCann and seconded by Joe Peden
to deny the salary raise to Ruth Martin (Tax Dept.) requested by F. C. Sholes
due to lack of funds.
There being no further business, Commission session was adjourned.
