The Commission at this time executed the following Deeds for
county -owned lands:
Deschutes County to Billy M. Cross: That part of the Northeast
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NE4NWµ) of Section Thirteen (13),
Township Sixteen (16) South, Range Twelve (12), E.W.M., lying east of the
Dalles-California Highway, containing 3.1 acres, more or less, for the sum
of $1,085.00.
Deschutes County to George E. Holt and Lenora Holt, husband and
wife: The West 120 feet of the SE4 of the NE4 of Section 13, Township 15
South, Range 12 E.W.M., subject to existing ditch right-of-ways, containing
3.64 acres, more or less, for the sum of $637.00.
Deschutes County to James L. Crowell and Judith M. Crowell,
husband and wife: The NE4 of the NWµ of Section 8, Township 18 South,
Range 13 East of the Willamette Meridian, excepting and reserving to the
United States a right-of-way thereon for ditches or canals constructed by
authority of the United States, for the sum of $6,200.00.

Glacier View Drive, having given due notice of this intention of establishment
more than thirty days preceding, and beings there were no objections, it is
therefore Ordered and Decreed that Glacier View Drive shall be established
as described in said resolution and by order herein as follows, to -wit:
A strip of land in the Southwest one-quarter of Section 28,
Township 16 South, Range 12 East, Willamette Meridian, Deschutes
County, Oregon, more particularly described as follows:

the centerline of Bachelor Way South 450 24' 15" West 278.22 feet;
thence North 440 35' 45" West 20.00 feet to the radius point of
a 50 foot radius cul-de-sac and there terminating.

JEFFERSON COURT:
The Commission at this time held a hearing on the establishment
of Jefferson Court, having given due notice of this intention of establishment
more than thirty days preceding, and beings there were no objections, it is
therefore ordered and decreed that the Jefferson Court shall be established
as follows, to -wit:
A strip of land in the southwest one-quarter of Section 28,
Township 16 South, Range 12 East, Willamette Meridian, Deschutes
County, Oregon, more particularly described as follows:
A strip of land 60 feet wide lying 30 feet on each side of the
following described centerline:
Beginning at engineer's centerline station 0+00 of Jefferson
Court which point of.beginning is on the centerline of Glacier
View Drive at engineer's centerline station 37 + 88.10 as shown
on the attached map which by reference to is made a part hereof;
thence leaving the centerline of Glacier View Drive and follow-
ing along the centerline of Jefferson Court South 410 20' 07"
East 465.51 feet; thence along the arc of a 193.03 foot radius
curve to the left 255.03 feet, the long chord of which bears
South 790 11' 07" East 236.89 feet; thence North 620 57' 53"
East 69.92 feet; thence South 270 02' 07" East 20.00 feet to the
radius point of a 50 foot radius cul-de-sac and there terminating.
IN THE MATTER OF
SHERIFF'S CAR:
At this time the Commission ordered the purchase of Sheriff's
car, to be delivered when available.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION PROCEDURES:
The Commission at this time set a policy on Vbacation procedures
in that anyone requesting a Vacation of a Street or Way should provide
costs of engineering.
IN THE MATTER OF
USE OF COUNTY CAR:
The Commission at this time delegated a letter to the Public
Works Administrator, Mr. Arthur Zibolski, setting forth policy on the use
of county vehicles.
IN THE MATTER OF
PUBLIC PURPOSES LEASE:
At this time the Commission signed the Lease with Bureau of Land
Management for the Terrebonne Garbage Disposal Site and the Alfalfa Garbage
Disposal Site, under Recreation and Public Purposes Lease Act, for a period
of 20 years at a nominal rental of $10.00 per year for each tract, payable

in advance for each 5 -year period. These lands are described as follows,

The Commission at this time reappointed Carmen Dawson to the
Deschutes County Fair Board for another three (3) year term; her term
expiring January I, 1973.
IN THE MATTER OF
BOARD OF
EQUALIZATION:
The Commission at this time appointed Mrs. Own Templeton of
LaPine to the Board of Equalization, as the Freeholder member.
IN THE MATTER OF
SALARY INCREASE:
At this time the Commission recommended and approved the salary
increase for Steven A. Vincent, Counselor for the J Bar J Boys' Ranch, to
$450.00 per month, effective February I, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL IN
CLERK'S OFFICE:
The Commission at this time ordered the Deschutes County Clerk
to place the name of Mary Shive on the payroll, in the Clerk's Office,
at a salary of $300.00 per month, beginning January 1, 1970.
