L. Penhollow, Chairman of Board of Commissioners, moved to pay travel expenses to the members of Farm Board Review, upon receipt of the bill from the Assessor's office, of mileage and meals. IN THE MATTER OF ABUNDANT FOOD: At this time the Commission recommended that a letter be sent to the Department of General Services, requesting an application to come under the Stamp Food Program, instead of disbursement of Surplus Food. So ordered. -3- IN THE MATTER OF PARTIAL RELEASE FROM REAL ESTATE CONTRACT: VOL 13 FAE'1 a. The Commission at this time hereby released from said Real Estate Contract, and conveyed by Deed of even date to John C. Arnett and Sheldon R. Arnett, in consideration of Eight Hundred and no/100 ($800.00) Dollars, for a portion of that parcel of land subject to and described in said Contract and recorded at Book 163, Page 134, Mortgage Records of Deschutes, County, Oregon, the following parcel of land described as follows: Tract 2 A tract of land lying in the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec. 34, T. 17S., R. 12 E., W.M. Deschutes Co., Oregon, described by: Commencing at a point on the Westerly line of the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Sec. 34, being 807.36 ft. South and 1319.24 ft. East of the West 1/4 corner of said Sec. 34; thence S 67° 53' 58" E, along the northerly right of way of the Central Oregon Highway, 311.45 ft. to the point of beginning; thence continuing along said right of way, S 67° 53' 58" E, 20.00 ft.; thence N 220 28' 17" E, 310.98 ft.; thence S 67° 31' 43" E, 140:30 ft.; thence N 22 28' 17" E, 233.00 ft.; thence N 670 41' 33" W, 160.30 ft.; thence S 22° 28' 17" W, 544.08 ft. to the point of beginning, consisting of one acre more or less. IN THE MATTER OF EXECUTION OF DEED: The Commission at this time executed a Deed to State of Oregon, State Highway Department, all its right title and interest in and to the following described real property, situated in the County of Deschutes, State of Oregon, to -wit: A parcel of land lying in the NWµNW4 of Section 28, Township 15 S., Range 13 East of Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon, and being a portion of that property described in that deed to Deschutes County, recorded in Book 144, Page 554, of Deschutes County Records of Deeds; the said parcel being that portion of said NW4NW4 Sec. 28 included in a strip of land 80 feet in width, on the easterly side of the center line of the Dalles-California Highway as said highway has been relocated, which center line is described as follows: Beginning at Engineer's center line Station 90+36.8, said Station being 44.54 feet south and 204.72 feet east of the NW corner of said Section 28; thence S 34° 51' W 963.2 feet to Station 100+00. (o.064 acres). IN THE MATTER OF BARGAIN AND SALE DEED: The Commission at this time conveyed to the City of Bend, a muni- cipal corporation, all that real property situated in Deschutes County, State of Oregon described as: Lot Seventeen (17) Block Forty-one (41), Wiestoria Addition, Deschutes County, Oregon. This property was already deeded by the County to the City of Bend in March, 1969, with some restrictions. This present Deed is unrestricted. IN THE MATTER OF TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT: The Commission at this time ordered to place Robert Roy Roth, on the Road Department payroll on a temporary basis from March 9, 1970 to March 20, 1970, at $2.80 per hour, working on the litter program. -4- a 0 IN THE MATTER OF COUNTY LAND LEASE: VOL 13 ?Act '710 The Commission at this time leased to William R. McCormack, the following described county -owned lands, to -wit: Township 20 S., R. 17 E.W.M.: Sec. 4: EIEZ 9: Ej E.11 10: SWrNEµ, W1 a total of 680 acres, more or less, to be leased from January I, 1970 to December 31, 1970 for grazing purposes only, at the rate of ten (10) cents per acre or $68.00 per year. IN THE MATTER OF EXTENSION ADVISORY COUNCIL: At this time the Commission appointed Mrs. Dean Ford to the Extension Advisory Council, for a term to expire October I, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF MINERAL MATERIALS PERMIT: At this time the Commission accepted the extension of a permit issued by the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, for mineral materials in the vicinity of Three Creeks Road, as Amendment No. I, extending the termination date to March 4, 1971. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL IN ROAD DEPARTMENT: The Commission at this time ordered, upon the recommendation of Charles L. Plummer, Roadmaster, that the Clerk issue a one step raise to Doug Hartzell, effective March I, 1970, at a salary of $500.00; midi, IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL IN HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Commission at this time ordered the Clerk to raise the salary of John Glover to $728.00, effective March I, 1970, because of his reclassifi- cation from Sanitarian II to Sanitarian III. IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING A PIPELINE: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Terrebonne Domestic Water District to install a pipeline transverse on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. At this time the Commission granted a permit to Eva Mulkey to install a pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: The Commission at this time ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to make the following refund of taxes: Pacific First Fed. Savings & Loan Association William A.
