The Commission at this time signed an Amended Lease Agreement with
Lava Butte TV Cable and Communications, Inc. for lands described as follows:
A tract of land in the NWµNEµ of Section 30, Township 17 South,
Range 12 East of the Willamette Meridian described as follows:
Beginning at a point which bears S 31 Deg. 40' 20" East 1122.37
feet from the North 1/4 corner of said Section 30; thence North
81 Deg. 22' East 100.00 feet; thence North 08 Deg. 38' West 75.00
feet; thence South 81 Deg. 22' West 100.00 feet; thence South
08 Deg. 38' East 75.00 feet to the point of beginning. Said tract
containing 0.17 acres more or less.
to be used for the purpose of installation of equipment for reception and
transmission of television and/or radio signals, at a rental of $50.00
annually, beginning October 16, 1969, for a term of five (5) years.

DEED:
At this time the Commission executed a Deed to Adrian Stearns for the
purchase of North 210 feet of East 210 feet of Lot 4, Section 31, Twp. 17 S.,
Range 12 E.W.M. which said contract was duly assigned to T. J. Stearns on
April 7, 1970, for the consideration of the sum of $400.00; thereby a Quit-
claim was executed to T. J. Stearns of said properties.

IN THE MATTER OF
DEPUTY SHERIFF:
The Commission at this time upon the petition of F. C. Sholes, Sheriff,
ordered that the Deschutes County Clerk place the name of Gene R. Goff on
the payroll as of April 16, 1970, replacing Fred Boringer, with a salary of
$500.00 per month.
IN THE MATTER OF
EXCHANGE OF
PROPERTIES:
The Commission at this time made a Resolution pursuant to ORS 275.100,
that Deschutes County enter into an exchange of lands with R. L. Riemen-
schneider. Said lands being described as follows:
DESCHUTES COUNTY to R. L. Riemenschneider:
SZNW4 Section 25
SZNE4 Section 35 (160 acres)
all in Township 14 South, Range 11 East of the
Willamette Meridian; along with 172 acres of
1895 Squaw Creek Water right and 172 acres of
1904 Supplemental right.
Further Deschutes County waives the Lease Payment on crop
year, 1969.
And in exchange R. L. RIEMENSCHNEIDER would deed to Deschutes
County, Oregon:

(320 acres)
all in Township 14 South, Range 11 East of the
Willamette Meridian.
It is further ordered that the County Clerk give notice of a hearing
to be held in the Deschutes County Courtroom at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight
Time, on the 20th day of May, 1970 at Bend, Oregon be and the same is hereby
fixed as the time and place for hearing of objections, if there be any, why
said parcels should not be exchanged.
IN THE MATTER OF
LIBRARY COMMITTEE:
The Commission at this time appointed Mrs. Cal Elshoff to serve a four
(4) year term, which will expire in 1974, on the Deschutes County Library
Committee.
IN THE MATTER OF
DISSOLVING THE SISTERS
RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT:
Whereas an election held on the 24th day of April, 1970 within said
District there was submitted to the registered voters resident therein the
question of whether the District should be dissolved; and the election was so
held, and canvass of the vote was duly returned, 13 votes were cast in favor
of the dissolution of the District, and 0 votes were cast against such dis-
solution; whereas, dissolution of the District received the affirmative vote
of the majority of votes cast at that election; therefore, it is hereby
ordered that the Sisters Rural Fire Protection District be and the same hereby
is dissolved.

IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT:

At this time the Commission entered into an Agreement between Deschutes
County and Lee Goodrich, in consideration of the loss of the ditch facilities
on the existing county road right of way, and in lieu of same, Deschutes
County agrees to assist Lee Goodrich in the cost of concreting an irrigation
ditch in the amount of $1,600.00. In reciprocation Lee Goodrich will furnish
Deschutes County with access to his land and furnish the County with all
the necessary cinders and dirt for road building, at no additional cost to
Deschutes County. As a result of the location of the access road to the pit
area, Deschutes County will have to install a culvert to cross over a lateral.
It is understood that this culvert will be removed by the County after the
use by the County has ceased. Deschutes County will assume no liability to
persons or property as a direct result of this operation. The Board of County
Commissioners may cancel this agreement at any time upon written notice to
Mr. Lee Goodrich.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONTRACT:
The Commission, on the 27th day of April, 1970, entered into an Agree-
ment with Carl and Virginia Campbell, Route 2, Box 1140, Bend, Oregon, for
the following described real property situate in said County of Deschutes
and State of Oregon, to -wit:

for the consideration of $400.00 Cash, the balance to be in sixty (60) equal
payments of $73.00 each, commencing on June 10, 1970, at the rate of 8%

THIS INDENTURE, Made this 5th day of May, 19703 by and between
F. C. Sholes, Sheriff and Tax Collector for Deschutes County, Oregon, the party
of the first part, and Deschutes County, Oregon, a political subdivision of the
State of Oregon, the party of the second part, WITNESSETH;
THAT WHEREAS,.a Judgment and Decree was entered in the Circuit Court of the ;
State of Oregon, for the County of Deschutes, on the 29th day of April, 19693 in
that certain suit in said court entitled "In the Matter of the 1968-69 Tax Fore-
closure List for Deschutes County, Oregon", foreclosing liens of Deschutes County
for taxes, interest, penalties and costs upon the several parcels of real prop-
erty hereinafter described, for taxes then delinquent and unpaid upon said several
parcels of real property and decreeing that said parcels be sold directly to Des-
chute& -County, Oregon, for the respective amounts of taxes, interest and penalties
as above mentioned, and further directing that the Clerk of Deschutes County,
Oregon, deliver to the Tax Collector of said county a certified copy of said
Judgment and Decree of foreclosure, including a list of such property as ordered
sold, with the several amounts due thereon, said certified copy to operate as a
certificate of sale to said county of said several properties; and,
Y i AS, Helen M. Dacey, County Clerk of said county, in conformity with
said Decree, did on the 29th day of April, 1969, furnish and deliver to the Tax
Collector of said county a certified copy of such Judgment and Decree, included
in which was a list of said properties so ordered sold, with the several_ amounts
due thereon,'and which certificate was a certificate of sale to Deschutes County,
Oregon, of said several parcels of real property, except those parcels of real
property heretofore redeemed by payment of all taxes, interest and penalties in
full to the close of the fiscal tax year 1968-69; and,
WHEREAS, the said Deschutes County, a political subdivision of the State of
Oregon, is now the owner and holder of said certificate of sale covering the said
several parcels of real property hereinafter described, and said several parcels
and all of them, have not been redeemed and the said taxes, interest and penalties

and costs and said several judgments are now wholly unpaid and the time for
redemption provided by law has now fully expired; and,
WHEREAS, The said F. C. Sholes, as Sheriff and Tax Collector for Deschutes
County, Oregon, gave notice of expiration of period of redemption as provided in
Section 312.190, Oregon Revised Statutes, which said notice was published in two
weekly publications of The Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation printed
and published in said county, proof of which publication is attached hereto and
