IN THE MATTER OF SECRETARY FOR VETERANS' OFFICE: The Court at this time accepted the resignation of Zane Kaye Franklin and ordered the Clerk to put Ivadell L. Welsh on the payroll as Secretary in the Veterans' Service Officer Office, effective August 6, 1969, at a salary of $400.00; Deschutes County's portion being $333.34; and it is further ordered that after ninety (90) days the salary be adjusted to $420.00, with Deschutes County portion being $353.34. IN THE MATTER OF RIGHT OF WAY: At this time the Court granted a temporary easement, which will expire on August 6, 1972, for an atmospheric gradient probe with a buried cable in Government Lot 2 of Section 5, Twp. 20 S., Range 16 E.W.M., in Deschutes County, Oregon; together with the rights of access and electric power service, for the consideration of $15.00, paid to Deschutes County by Bonneville Power Administration, Department of the Interior. IN THE MATTER OF BIDS, SEALING AND OILING CONTRACT: The Court at this time, after the opening of the sealed bids, awarded the contract to Babler Bros. whose bid was the lowest being $64,005.00 for the purpose of furnishing and placing asphalt and aggregate, for 0-33 sealing program and 0-11 and 0-9 asphalt penetration macadam, Deschutes County Road Department. IN THE MATTER OF USED DOG CONTROL PICKUP: The Court at this time received two sealed bids and sold to the highest bidder Gerald Gibson, the used Dog Warden's 1964 Chevrolet Pickup for $795.00. IN THE MATTER OF CLOSURE OF ARNOLD DUMP SITE: The Court at this time ordered the Arnold Dump to be closed until further order of this Court, as the dump site has been continually plagued with fires and the Bureau of Land Management and the Walker Fire District have billed the county for services thereby the property adjacent to the dump and personal safety has been involved. IN THE MATTER OF CONTRACT FOR C011NTV-0WNF.T) LAND! The Court entered into an Agreement with Delbert L. Harden, for the following real property: Lot 4, Block 3, Deschutes Addition, Bend for the sum of $255.00; with $51.00 Cash and the balance in thirty-six (36) payments at $5.67 each month, beginning August 11, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF DEEDS FOR COUNTY - OWNED LANDS: The Court at this time executed a Deed to James Arntz for the following real property: SE 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4, SW 1/4 SE 1/4 SW 1/4, and E 1/2 SE 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 7, Twp. 18 S., Range 12 E.W.M. (40 acres) for the sum of $8,000.00 Cash. -5- vW 13 FAGE 2 75 The Court at this time executed a Deed to Paul T. Erb for the following real property: E 1/2 Sec. 9, Twp. 20 S., Range 15 E.W.M. for the sum of $7600.00 Cash. IN THE MATTER OF CENTRAL OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT FUND: The Court at this time ordered set up a fund to be known as the Central the purpose of receiving and disbursing IN THE MATTER OF DESTROYING TAX RECEIPTS: that the Deschutes County Treasurer Oregon Law Enforcement Fund for such monies. The Court at this time ordered that the Sheriff and Tax Collector, F. C. Sholes, of Deschutes County to direct the destroying of all tax receipts that have been issued seven (7) or more years prior to this date, all in accordance with the provisions of Oregon Session Laws 1965, Chapter 344 Sec. 24 (4) page 717. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF 13th STREET & 15th STREET OF HILLMAN: The Court at this time made Resolution that it is its intention to vacate an unused portion of 13th Street and 15th Street in the townsite of Hillman, as recorded and on file in the Deschutes County Clerk's office to -wit: That portion of 13th Street beginning at the north line of B Avenue, thence north to the south line of C Avenue and That portion of 15th Street beginning at the north line of B Avenue, thence north to the south line of C Avenue. and it is further ordered that copies of this Resolution, duly certified by the County Clerk, shall be posed in three (3) places along the roads to be vacated and that a copy of this resolution be placed on the Bulletin Board in the entrance of the Deschutes County Courthouse; that Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1969 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, at the County Courtroom, County Courthouse, bend, Oregon be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and Place for the hearing of objections, if there be any, why said portion of these streets should not be vacated as a portion of Hillman. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL OF THE TRI COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to adjust the salary of the Supervising Sanitarian, Ronald Anderson, to the first step of the Merit System pay classification for Sanitarian IV, which is $802.00 per month. Deschutes County's portion at 61% will be $489.00 per month. The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Mrs. Elizabeth McGreer as RN II in the general health section of the Tri - County Health Department in the Bend office, effective September 2, 1969, at $575.00 per month. The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Cary Mead as Clerk -Typist I in the general health section of the Tri -County Department of Health, in the Bend office, at $300.00 per month, effective September 2, 1969. PVOI 13 PAGE276 IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL, WEED CONTROL DEPARTMENT: The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Harry Henry Ipock to work in the Weed Control Department at a salary of $460.00 per month, effective August 18, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF PERMITS: The Court at this time granted permits to: Glenn H. Anderson for installing an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way; (Lot 1, Block 4, Woodland Park Homesites, 2nd Addition); Carl Spencer to move a 52' x 30' building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way; Power City Construction & Equip., Inc. to move a 10 1/2' x 20' building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way; Glenn H. Anderson to install an acess to Lot 5, Woodland Park Homesites, Burgess Road; Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone for a buried wire of .25" across Ward Road. IN THE MATTER OF CONTRACT: The Court entered into a Contract on August 4, 1969 between Deschutes County and Robert Wilson, curb contractor, to adjust the original bid price for installed curb on Ehret Road. The price agreed upon for type "C" curb is $1.02 per lineal foot; the amount of curb involved is approximately 5700 feet. IN THE MATTER OF PARCEL #1, AS ADVERTISED IN LAND SALE #300: The Court, on the 14th day of August, ordered that the Sheriff F. C. Sholes delete from the Land Sale #300, all of Parcel #1, and that it be with- drawn at the time of bidding. IN THE MATTER OF BEER LICENSE: The Court at this time approved the following renewal application for beer license: Paul H. & Marcy C. Marcoulier Joe & Bea's Tavern Class A (recommended a transfer from Cliff & Grace Leagjeld) There being no further business, Court adjourned.
