Land Investment Co., purchaser at a Land Sale on the 31st day of March, 1967, for the following described lands, at a total of $4,050.00.: Lots 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, Block 5, Riverside Addition, Deschutes County, Oregon. IN THE MATTER OF DEED: At this time the Commission executed a husband and wife, Terrebonne, Oregon for the County of Deschutes, State of Oregon,: Lot 3, Block 142, Hillman (Terrebonne) Deed to Veachel and Wavie Childres� following parcel, situate in for the sum of $100.00. This was in Land Sale #297, July 29, 1968. -4- N THE i4ATTER OF VACATION OF PORTION OF PLAT OF FOREST PARK I, SUNRIVER: VOL 13 PACE At this time the Commission held a Hearing and as there were no objec- tions, ordered the Vacation of a portion of Plat of Forest Park I, Sunriver, -as recorded and on file in the Deschutes County Clerk's office, and it further appearing to the Commission that said vacation is for the reason that Tract No. I of the described portion of "Forest Park 1", which on the recorded plat thereof is designated as being within the "common" area of said Addition, is in fact situated partially within the common area of "Forest Park 11", a projected plat of Sunriver Properties, Inc., and partially within the area of said "Forest Park Il" which is projected to be subdivided and platted as lots in said plat; that the acreage which is being devoted to "common" area within said "Forest Park II" is in excess of the acreage of that said described property which petitioner wishes to vacate; that Tract No. 2 herein described is labelled "private way" upon the plat of "Forest Park I"; that the same does not conform to the private way which currently exists and is being used for access from Abbot Drive to said plat known as "Forest Park I" and that the plat of "Forest Park II" will correctly label and designate the same; that the conformation of both "Forest Park I" and "Forest Park II" will be improved by the vacation of said property. IN THE MATTER OF DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS: At this time the Commission unanimously voted to appoint Charles L. Plummer as Director of Public Works, Pro -tem, effective May 6, 1970 and to remain as such until someone is hired. IN THE MATTER OF RIGHT OF WAY EASEMENT: The Commission at this time granted Central Electric Cooperative, Inc., Redmond, the right to enter upon the following described lands as follows: Twenty-nine (29) feet West of and parallel to the East line of the W2'W2 of Sec. 18, Twp. 16 S., R. 11 E.W.M. and Twenty-nine (29) feet West of and parallel to the East line of the W12NW4 of Sec. 19; Twp. 16 S., R. 11 E.W.M. to construct, operate and maintain an electric transmission or distribution line or system. IN THE MATTER OF THOSE ATTENDING COP•MISSION MEETING: Those in attendance of the Deschutes County Commission meeting were: Peter Morgan, The Bulletin; Jerry Horn; Charles L. Plummer; Keith Ramsay; Russell Brvant and A. C. Goodrich. IN THE MATTER OF SIGN PERMIT: The Commission at this time granted a sign permit to' Harold's Club, Reno, Nevada, to erect a 6 foot by 24 foot sign on Highway 20 E., for a five year term at $15.00 per year; located in NW4!SE4 of Section 35, Twp. 19 S., Range 15 E.W.H. -5- IN THE MATTER OF SCENIC COUNTRY ESTATES: VOL 13 PAGE C�c At this time the Commission resolved to accept those roads included within the filed Plat of Scenic Country Estates if the owners will provide a legal description so that the Roadmaster, Charles L. Plummer, may post such notices. IN THE MATTER OF BARGAIN & SALE DEED: At this time the Commission executed a Deed to the City of Redmond for the following described property, to -wit: The westerly thirty (3)) feet of Lots 5 and 6, Section 28, Township 15 South, Range 13 E.W.M., less the U. S. Highway 97 right-of-way previously deeded to State of Oregon in the northwest corner of Lot 5. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF A STREET OF HILLMAN: The Commission at this time, upon the petition of Eugenia Sherry et vir, Terrebonne, Oregon, made resolution to vacate a portion of E Street from the East side of Main to the West side of 11th and a portion of F Street from the East side of Main to the West side of 11th of Hillman, as recorded in the plat of the townsite of Hillman, in the Deschutes County Clerk's Office. These portions to be vacated are in the area of Old Dalles-California Highway and the new Highway and have no access to either streets. These streets have never been opened and are contained within the property of Eugenia Sherry et vir. It is further ordered that Charles L. Plummer, Deschutes County Road - master, post notices of the proposed vacation in three (3) conspicuous places within the limits of the area to be vacated; and that the date of Hearing shall be June 10, 1970, at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, in the Deschutes County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT: The Commission at this time entered into an Agreement between Deschutes County and the City of Prineville certain terms as to board of prisoners, under the custody of Deschutes County, who are held in the Prineville Jail. IN THE MATTER OF PERMITS: At this time the Commission granted the following permits: Cascade Natural Gas Corporation, to install a 4" pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way; Carl Spencer, to move a 16 foot square building on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: At this time the Commission ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to make the following refund of taxes: Herbert L. C. Sholes, ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to place the name of Leonard Leroy Kirby on the payroll as of May 15, 1970, with a starting salary of $577.00. IN THE MATTER OF BEER LICENSES: The Commission at this time approved the following renewal applications for beer licenses: Elk Lake Lodge, Box 789, Bend LaPine Inn, LaPine John R. Edwards, Pres.
