The Commission at this time ordered the Deschutes County Treasurer,
Mrs. Helen Rastovich, to transfer from the Solid Waste fund to the General
Fund the amount of $47,111.98 and it is further ordered that a transfer be
made from the Land Sales Fund to the General Fund of $65,000.00.

IN THE MATTER OF
DISSOLVING PARTICIPATION
IN TRI COUNTY HEALTH:
VOL 13 FACE
At this time the Commission resolved to dissolve all participation
in the Tri County Health Department; beings Jefferson County Budget Advisory
Committee has declared their intention of going it alone and it appearing
that the Crook County Court will staff their own Health Department, and it
further appearing that Deschutes County Budget requirements are such as to
be unable to meet the 60% requirement in financial participation with the
Tri County Health Department.
IN THE MATTER OF
DISSOLUTION OF TRI COUNTY
HEALTH DEPARTMENT:
At this time the Commission resolved by mutual consent of the Tri -
County Health Board that the Tri -County Health Department be dissolved as
of June 30, 1970 and the several and individual counties assume their
respective programs.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF A PORTION
OF A STREET OF HILLMAN:
The Commission, on the 10th day of June, 1970, held a Hearing and
beings there were no objections, ordered that the portion of E Street from
the East side of Main to the West side of 11th and a portion of F Street
from the East side of Meain to the West side of 11th of Hillman, Deschutes
County, Oregon shall be and the same is hereby vacated.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL RULES:
The Commission unanimously adopted the proposed Classification and
Personnel Rules for all county departments, with amendments; and adopted the
payroll plan for the Road Department, effective July 1, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSURANCE:
The Commission at this time accepted the recommendation of the Insurance
Committee and adopted the Group Medical Policy of Northern Life in that Room
& Board in the hospital be increased from the present $30.00 per day to
$40.00 per day, with these new rates in effect July 1, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
ATTENDANCE AT MEETING:
Those at this time in attendance to the Commission meeting were:
Peter Morgan $ John Sullivan of The Bulletin, C. L. Plummer, Jerry Horn,
Bill Jones, Russell Bryant and Alva Goodrich.
IN THE MATTER OF
SECRETARY:
At this time the Commission ordered the Clerk to adjust the salary of
Dorothy Evans, Secretary in Sheriff Sholes Department, to $400.00 per month,
effective June 1, 1970 as she has satisfactorily completed her three months
probation.
IN THE MATTER OF
SPECIAL ELECTION:
The Commission at this time ordered that a Special Election be held to
permit a levy for the financing of maintenance of the garbage dump sites in
Deschutes County, on July 16, 1970, in accordance with ORS 310.330.

The Commission at this time ordered that a Special Election be held to
to permit a levy for the financing of a Comprehensive Deschutes River Basin
Study, on July 16, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
LAND PATENT:
The Commission at this time received a supplemental patent from Bureau
of Land Management, U.S. of America, on June 10, 1970, to patent number
36-70-0004, issued on July 8, 1969, covering the following described land:
Willamette Meridian, Oregon: Twp. 17 S., Range 13 E., W.M.,
Section 17, NW4NE4 (40 acres)
IN THE MATTER OF
CORRECTION ALIGNMENT:
At this time the Commission conveyed to Brooks Resources Corporation
the following described real property located in Deschutes County, Oregon,
to -wit:
A strip of land 30 feet in width on each side of the centerline of
the extension of the Dorrance Meadow Road as now constructed and
existing on the ground, the said centerline being more particularly
described as follows:
A strip of land 30 feet in width on the West side from a centerline
beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of Section 8, Township 22 South, Range 10, EWM
and running thence South Oo 33' 38" East, 394.65 feet along the East
line; thence on a 10 degree curve to the right of 573.69 ft. radius
and the central angle being 40 degrees 00' for 400.0 feet the width
gradually increasing around the curve to be 60 feet in width, being
30 feet on each side of the centerline; thence South 39 degrees 26'
22" West, a distance of 697.03 feet to the South line of the South-
east quarter of the Northeast quarter which point is 582.08 feet
west from the quarter section corner between Sections 8 and 9.
There is no consideration for this transfer.
IN THE MATTER OF
RADIO MAINTENANCE:
At this time the Commission authorized M. Rheinholdt, TV and Communi-
cations, to make periodic checks for the various departments of the county
for the maintenance of the radio equipment, until the 1970-71 Budget is
certified.
IN THE MATTER OF

The Commission and Newel P. Baker, by mutual agreement, on June 10, 1970,1
deleted the following described parcel consisting of 80 acres from the option
SWkSEi of Section 3, Twp. 16 S., R. 11 E.W.M. and
NWiNE$ of Section 10, Twp. 16 S., R. 11 E.W.M.
and substituted the following described 80 acre parcel:
NISE¢ of Section 8, Township 16 South, Range 11 E.W.M.
It is further agreed that the option on the NjSEk of Section 8 shall bear
the value of $70.00 per acre, which was the appraisal by the Bureau of Land
Management and the value of the lands when received by the County.

The Commission at this time granted a permit to William H. Kuiper to
construct an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
The Commission at this time granted a permit to Glenn H. Anderson to
construct an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
PIPELINES:
At this time the Commission granted a permit to Terrebonne Domestic
Water District to install pipe lines on or across Deschutes County right-of-
way.
There being no further business, the Commission adjourned.
