IN THE MATTER OF PREDATOR CONTROL: The Court at this time appropriated $5,136.00 for predator control program In Deschutes County, pursuant to provisions of ORS 610., to the State Department of Agriculture, Salem, Oregon, for such purposes. -4- va 13 PAGE a_fi IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF 13th STREET & 15th STREET OF HILLMAN: The Court at this time ordered that the unused portion of 13th Street and 15th Street in the townsite of Hillman, Deschutes County, Oregon shall be and the same is hereby vacated, as there were no objections at a Hearing held this 17th day of September, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: The Court at this time mutually agreed with the Prineville District, Bureau of Land Management that: 1. The Bureau of Land Management will allow Deschutes County to operate a sanitation Land fill on portions of the N# SWJ Sec. 1I, T. 18 S., R. 12 E. No rental charge will be made. 2. Deschutes County will operate the site only as a sanitation land fill and with full compliance as to the principles of a sani- tation land fill operation. Upon completion of the operation, holes will be filled, leveled, seeded and the site left in a condition satisfactory to the Bureau of Land Management. 3. This agreement will expire on October I, 1970. All requirements In item 2 will be met before that date. 1N THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL IN ASSESSOR'S OFFICE: The Court at this time ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to give the next step raise to Beverly Routen, Assessor's Office, to $326.00 per month effective Stptember 1, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF ADMINISTRATOR OF PUBLIC WORKS: The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Arthur Zibolski on the payroll effective October 1, 1969 as Administrator of Public Works, at a salary of $1,000.00 per month. 1N THE MATTER OF BOOKKEEPER, IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE: At this time the Court ordered that the name of Jerolyn D. Schutte be placed on the payroll as bookkeeper in the County Clerk's office at a beginning salary of $300.00 per month, effective September 15, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF SALARY ADJUSTMENT: The Court at this time approved the recommendation from the Deschutes County Fair Board for a salary adjustment for Roland Bain, Caretaker of the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, to be $425.00 per month, effective Sept. 1, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF REVIEW BOARD: The Court at this time appointed Cal Elsoff to a two year term to the Assessor's Review Board and reappointed Bob Wiegand for another two year term. -5- VOL 13 PACE 33 /. IN THE MATTER OF ROADS IN LAPINE: After discussion with Mr. & Mrs. Mel Jackson and Mr. Patrick of LaPine, the Court asked the Road Advisory Committee to review Riverview Drive and Huntington roads in LaPine and give recommendations to the Court; also the Court asked Charles Plummer, Roadmaster, to see the new Superintendent of bus routes for Bend Schools for the policy on routes for this school year. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A STREET IN LAIDLAW: The Court made Resolution, upon the petition of Date Jackson, to vacate Riverside Avenue from the extended south line of Block 12 to the south line of the Nichols Secondary Road of Laidlaw, as recorded in the plat filed In the Deschutes County Clerk's Office. And it was further ordered that Charles L. Plummer, Roadmaster, post notices of the proposed vacation In three (3) conspicuous places and that the date of Hearing shall be October 22, 1969, at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, in the Deschutes County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF BEER LICENSE• The Court at this time approved the following renewal application for beer license: Ralph Treadwell The Handy Pantry PB IN THE MATTER OF PIPE LINE: The Court at this time granted a permit to the City of Bend for installing a 12" water main pipe line transversely to Studio Road. Said pipe line extending across Studio Road in a northwesterly direction, at Station 14 + 35, a distance of 72 feet. There being no further business, Court adjourned.
