Books 186.50 IN THE MATTER OF BID OPENING: At this time the Commission called for the Bid opening on insurance and accepted the bid of Bend Insurance Company on Liability and Physical damage, but rejected all bids for Inland Marine coverage and voted to readvertise for this bid. IN THE MATTER OF WELFARE COMMISSION: The Commission at this time reappointed Grace McCusker to the Deschutes County Welfare Commission, for a four year term, expiring June 30, 1974. IN THE MATTER OF BUDGET ADVISORY MEMBER: At this time the Commission accepted the resignation of A. L. Hollowell of the Deschutes County Budget Advisory Committee, who had served the past two years; with his term expiring August 21, 1972. A letter accepting his resignation was written. IN THE MATTER OF BEER LICENSE: The Commission at this time recommended approval of a new PA beer license for Juniper Junction, Robert L. $ Irene Day, Terrebonne. IN THE MATTER OF HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Commission at this time ordered that the Tri -County Health Department Name be changed to Deschutes County Health Department, effective July 1, 1970. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL RULES: The Commission at this time in adopting the Classification and Personnel Rules for all county departments, as stated in the Minutes of June 3, 1970, specifically stated the following amendments: RULE VI, Page 8: Section 2, B. "Entrance Salary. Normally an employee will be appointed or reinstated at 90% the entrance rate for the class." RULE VI, Page 10: Add the following to Section 8, at the end of Paragraph B.: "Department heads shall obtain written permission for compensatory time off from the Board of Commissioners" RULE X, Page 15: Section 5, B. "Accumulation of Vacation Credits. The maximum accumulate of vacation leave for any employee is two (2) years vacation credits." (instead of twenty-five work days) -3- IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFER OF FUNDS: VOL 13 fsl;f The Commission at this time ordered the Treasurer to transfer the following: From Sunset Home Fund to General Fund: $9,275.47 (abolish fund) From Courthouse Building and Ground Improvement Fund to General Fund: $858.23 (abolish fund) From Public Assistance Fund to General Fund: the remaining balance as of June 30, 1970 (abolish fund) From Solid Waste Fund to General Fund: The remaining balance as of June 30, 1970, keeping the said fund From Rodent Control Trust Fund to General Fund: $740.72 (abolish fund). IN THE MATTER OF DESCHUTES COUNTY AND BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT PROPERTY EXCHANGE: The Commission at this time resolved that it is its intention to exchange property with the Bureau of Land Management, the United States of America, pursuant to ORS 275.100. (Attached to said Resolution is a copy of exchange properties). And it was further ordered that the County Clerk give notice of a hearing to be held in the Deschutes County Courtroom at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, on the 5th day of August, 1970 at Bend, Oregon, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing of objections, if there be any, why said parcels should not be exchanged. IN THE MATTER OF INSURANCE BIDS: At this time tfss, Commission advertised for Insurance Bid for the purchase by Deschutes County for a limited Inland Marine Contractor Equipment policy. Bids will be received up to 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, July 22, 1970, at which time bids will be opened. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: The Commission at this time ordered F. C. Sholes Tax Collector, to make the following refund of taxes: Nancy Combs Clerical error $37.62 IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLATION OF AN ACCESS: At this time the Commission granted a permit to Mel Hanna to install an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
