In the Matter of
Exchange of Properties:
The Court at this time resolved that pursuant to ORS 275.100, Deschutes County
enter into an exchange of lands with Russell L. Hiatt et al. Said lands being described
as follows:
Deschutes County to Russell L. Hiatt: NE4f64 Section 18 Twp. 16 S.,
R. 11 E.W.M.
Russell L. Hiatt would deed to Deschutes County: SES See. 18
Twp. 16 S., R. 11 E.W.M. In addition Russel L. Hiatt will pay Deschutes County
the sum of $800.00 cash to meet the terms of the ORS.
It is therefore ordered that the County Clerk give notice of a hearing to be held in the
Deschutes County District Courtroom at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time, on the 5th day of
February, 1969 at Bend, Oregon, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for
hearing of objections, if there be any, why said parcels should not be exchanged.

Newspapers for 1969:
The Court at this time designated the Redmond Spokesman and Bend Bulletin as
official newspapers for Deschutes County for 1969•

The Court at this time appointed:

Court Appointed Member
on Planning Commission:
Court at this time appointed Commissioner Dorothy A. Smead to represent the
Deschutes County Court on the Planning Commission.
In the Matter of
Exchange of Properties:
The Court at this time resolved that pursuant to ORS 275.100, Deschutes County
enter into an exchange of lands with A. W. Beardsley & Mildred Beardsley. Said lands being
described as follows:
Deschutes County to A. W. Beardsley & Mildred Beardsley: A tract of land in
N4Section 12, Twp. 15 South, Range 12 E.W.M. and described as follows:
All that portion of the N-4 of Section 12, Township 15 South,
Range 12 E.W.M., lying South of the right bank of the Deschutes River
and lying Easterly of a North and South line 676.2 ft. West of the
East line of NV4NW-4 of said Section 12.
A. W. Beardsley & Mildred Beardsley would deed to Deschutes County: A tract of
land in SVjfk#4- of Section 12, Twp. 15 S., Range 12 E.W.M. and described as follows:

Maintenance Serviceman:
The Court at this time cancelled all existing agreements for maintenance of
150 & 450 Base and Mobile Radio units and appointed Marvin Rheinholdt as Maintenance
Serviceman for Deschutes County equipment for 1969. This will consist of the following
radio equipment:
1 - RCA transmitter located in the Redmond City Hall operating on
the frequency of 458.050.
1 - transmitter in the 150 megacycle band on Awbrey Butte.
1 - 155.25 transmitter located on Awbrey Butte.
1 - 151.115 transmitter located on Awbrey Butte.
1 - 150 megacycle transmitter on Awbrey Butte to be installed
for Road Department.
1 - transmitter located on Wampus Butte.
The control stations located in the Deschutes County Courthouse and also the control
stations in the Deschutes County Road Department office and shop. Also control stations
located in the Sheriff's house east of Bend. This also includes all County owned mobile
units. This includes the Road Department, the Sheriff's vehicles and mobiles on local
government frequencies.
In the Matter of
Snow Removal Policy:
The Court at this time stated a policy for snow removal: Deschutes County Road
Department would open all county roads before proceding to public roads in subdivisions and
platted areas; during schooltime, school bus routes will have priority.

Secretary, Sheriff's
Department:
The Court at this time ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to place the name
of Judi L. Hirscht, as Half-time Secretary for the Deschutes County Sheriff's Department,
at a salary of $150.00 per month, starting December 19, 1968.
In the Matter of
Refund of Taxes:
The Court at this time ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to make the
following refund of taxes:

Equitable Savings & Loan Double payment 49.01
Veterans Administration Paid on wrong property 11-44
In the Matter of
Jury List, 1969:
The Court at this time has drawn the preliminary list for Jury for 1969.
