The Court at this time ordered the Desc hutes County Treasurer to transfer
$100.00 from the Dog Control Fund to the Dog Control Pickup Reserve Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
WILT ROAD:

The Court at this time unanimously ordered that Deschutes County would do the
needed engineering, provide several culverts as the engineering demands and pay the cost
of additional cinders up to 201, of base; also furnish the grid roller for use in compaction
for Wilt Road. A letter was written to this effect to Fred Ramsey.
IN THE MATTER :OF
DEED TO CITY OF BEND:
At :this time the Court executed a Deed to the City of Bend for:
Lot 17, Block 41, Wiestoria Addition, Deschutes
County, Oregon
so long as said property is used for a public alley. When said property is no longer so
used, the interest of the grantee, his heirs or assigns shall automatically terminate.
IN THE MATTER OF
CIVIL DEFENSE:
At this time Commissioner G. W. McCann moved that the Deschutes County Civil
Defense be abolished on July 1, 1969 and Judge D. L. Penhollow seconded the motion. Commis-
sioner Smead voted against the motion. It was carried. Further discussion followed this
motion.
IN THE MATTER OF
EASEMENT FOR POWER LINE:
The Court at this time granted an easement to Central Electric Cooperative, Inc.,
Redmond, Oregon the right to enter upon the lands of the undersigned, situated in County
of Deschutes, State of Oregon, and more particularly described as follows:
Twenty Nine Feet (291) West of the East line of the West half of the
Southeast quarter (i1SE4) of Section 7, Township 16 S., Range 11 E.W.M.
and Twenty Nine Feet (291) North of the South line of said Section 7,
and to construct, operate and maintain on the above described lands and/or
in or upon all streets, roads or highways abutting said lands, an electric
transmission or distribution line or system, and to cut and trim trees and
shrubbery to the extent necessary to keep them clear of said electric line
or system and to cut down from time to time all dead, weak, leaning or
dangerous trees that are tall enough to strike the wires.

APPOINTMENT TO DESCHUTES
'COUNTY FAIR BOARD:
The Court at this time appointed D. W. Miltenberger to serve a three year term
(expires January 1, 1972) in accordance with ORS 565.210, on the Deschutes County Fair
Board.

IN THE MATTER OF
SECRETARY IN
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT:
The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Sandra Lee Warner
on the payroll as Secretary in Sheriff's Department at a salary of $360.00 per month
for three months; then $400.00 per month. This is effective April 1, 1969.
IN THE MATTER OF
FARM LANDS TAX
BOARD OF REVIEW
APPOINTMENT:
The Court at this time appointed Robert Weigand to the Farm Lands Tax Board
of Review for one year term, in accordance with ORS 308.239,:as amended.
IN THE MATTER OF
SECRETARY FOR
ASSESSOR'S OFFICE:
At this time the Court ordered the Clerk to place the name of .Sara M. Harvey
on the payroll as Secretary in the Assessor's Office at a salary of $300.00 per month,
effective March 19, 1969.
IN THE MATTER
OF VACATION PAY:
At this time the Court ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to issue two weeks'
pay, in lieu of vacation, to Ronald Walker.
IN THE:.MATTER OF
J -J BOYS' RANCH STAFF:
The Court at this time ordered the following individuals on the J -J Boys' Ranch
Staff in the capacity and at the wages indicated:
Wayne B. Hamilton, Relief Supervisor, permanent, at a salary of $50.00 per 48-hour
-, shift, effective, March 28, 1969.
Steven R. Drummond, Night and Relief Supervisor -Counselor, permanent, at a
salary of $200.00 per month, effective March 24, 1969.
IN THE MATTER OFTHE
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
PINE FOREST DRIVE:
On March 26, 1969 the Court held the hearing for any objections to the establish-
ment of the Pine Forest Drive; and as there were none, it was ordered and decreed that the
Pine Forest Drive shall be established as described in said resolution and by order herein
as follows, to -wit:
A roadway 60 feet in width, being 30 feet in width each side of the center
line described as follows:
Beginning at the corner of Sections 3-4-33-34 on the Township line between
Townships 21S., R. 10 E.W.M. and Township 22S., R. 10 E.W.M. and running
thence one mile South to the corner of Sections 3-4-8-9 of Township 22 S., R. 10
E.W.M.
It was further ordered that the Deschutes County Surveyor shall file a plat of said road,
surveyed on the ground, with the road records of Deschutes County.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLATION OF AOCESS:
The Court at this time granted a permit to Kenneth J. Greene to install an
access on or across Deschutes County Right -or -way.
The Court at this time granted a permit to Mrs. Otis Collins to install an
access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.

IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT:
On March 25, 1969, the Court entered into an Agreement with DeWayne Riemen-
schneider thereby giving Mr. Riemenschneider an extension of time t6 May 15, 1969 on the
total balance of $1,000.00 to be paid to Deschutes County for the growing of potatoes on
County Lands which were not under lease from Deschutes 'County.
There being no further business, Court adjourned.
