SHERIFF'S TAX DEPT.
PERSONNEL:
The Court at this time ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to place the name of
Ruth Martin on, the payroll for the Sheriff's Tax Department as of April 1, 1969 at a salary
of $326.00 per month.
The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Judy Walker on a
leave of absence status. as of April 1, 1969.
IN THE MATTER OF
TRANSFER OF FUNDS:
At this time the .,Court ordered the Deschutes County Treasurer to transfer
$5,000.00 from the Sunset Home Fund to the Courthouse Building and Land Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSURANCE COMMITTEE:
The Court at this time appointed Alan Lee, Deputy District Attorney, to the
Deschutes County Insurance Committee in the place of Ray Babb who has left county employment.

INSTALLATION OF PIPELINE:
At this time the Court granted a permit to the following to install pipleline
on or across the Deschutes County right-of-way:
Max Hopper, C. L. Linkey and Louis Rogerson

APPROVAL LOCATION OF
TELEPHONE CONDUIT;
The Court at this time approved the application of Pacific Northwest Bell for
telephone conduit and buried cable to be installed in Spring River; also on Tyler County
Road; also Craven Drive County Road; also Sipchen County Road.
IN THE MATTER OF
THREE CREEKS ROAD:
At this time the Court made Resolution for the establishment of a county road
known as Three Creeks Road and described as follows, to -wit:
A roadway 60 feet in width the center line of which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is S.0° -44'20"W.-9300 feet from a point
on the South line of Cascade Street and on the center of Elm Street
in Sisters, Oregon which point is 30 feet South and 1010 feet East
of the corner of Section 4-5-8-9 of Tp -15 S., R. 10 E.W.M. and running
thence; S.00 -441W. - 3.1 feet; thence on an 80 curve to the rightfor
171.48 feet the radius being 716.2 feet and the central. angle 130-431;
thence S.14a-27'W - 570.75 feet; thence S.12° -41,W. - 554.25 feet;
thence on a 60 curve to the left for 373.05 feet; the radius being
954.93 feet; and thS central angle 220-331; thence S.90 -421E. - 585.25
feet; thence on a 5 curve to the left for 115.66 feet the r&dius being
1145.92 feet, and the cental angle 50-47' left; thence S.15 o29'E.
- 916.25 feet; thence S.12 -441E. - 1508.15 feet; thence L16 -15'E.

-30" left; thence S.290 -241W. -3515.10 feet from which the 1/4 Section
corngr between Sections 29 and 32 of Tp. 15S. R. 10 E.W.M. bears -

And the Court farther ordered that the County Roadmaster of his duly qualified deputy,
shall give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof, properly certified to
as such by the County Clerk, at the place of holding County Court and also at three public
places in the vicinity of said proposed road thirty days previous to the consideration of
this Resolution by the County Court, notifying all persons concerned that said Resolution
will be considered and passed upon by this Court at a meeting on the 7th of May, 1969 at
which time the Court will consider any objections or remonstrances which may be filed on
account of said propsed road.
IN THE MATTER OF
ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF STUDIO ROAD:
The Court unanimously agreed and hereby resolved to proceed with condemnation
proceedings to acquire the said real property from William R. Eastman, Jr. and Maxine Eliza-
beth Eastman, husband and wife, in order that the County may proceed for improvement of

IN THE MATTER OF
PLANNING SECRETARY:
Commissioner Dorothy A. Smead moved that the -Planning Secretary be compensated
for taking minutes at Planning meetings held evenings at the rate of $10.00 per night
meeting. Seconded by Commissioner G. W. McCann.
IN THE MATTER OF
BROOKS WILLAMETTE LEASE:
Upon the recommendation of'. Sanitarian, Ron Anderson, The Court unanimously
agreed to renew the Brooks Willamette Lease to be accompanied with a letter from the Court
stating the Sanitarian's restrictions within three years, to be phased out according to
ORS 271.230.
This lease includes the following described county -owned lands, to -wit:
Twp. 15 S., R. 13 E.W.M.: Sec. 10: SW%q.SE 4, containing 40 acres, more or less,
for an Evaporating pit and Burning pit area at the rate of $30.00 from May 19, 1969 to
May 19, 1970.
IN THE MATTER OF
PURCHASE OF PROPERTY:
The Court at this time purchased the following described lands for the sum of
$12,500, with $5,000 down as earnest money and sum of $7,500 as additional and $5,000 upon
acceptance of title and deed: SE' -4 of Block 8 in North Addition to City of Bend, Oregon.
That property specifically known to Tax office as 17-12-32AC, Tax Lot 3900; these lands to
be used in the Courthouse Complex.
IN THE MATTER OF
QUITCLAIM DEED:'
The 'Court at this time executed a quitclaim deed to City of Bend for the following
described property:
Lot 16 and 17, Block 8, Highland Addition, Bend, Deschutes County, Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLATION OF ACCESS:
The Court at this time granted a permit to Loren Givens to install a 30' access
on or across Deschutes County right of way.
IN THE MATTER OF
MOPING A BUILDING:
The Court at this time granted;a permit to Carl Spencer to move a building on or
across Deschutes County right of way.:
IN THE MATTER OF
REFUND OF TAXES:
At this time the Court ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to make the following
refund of Taxes:
