Books 85.00 IN THE MATTER OF LEASE OF COUNTY -OWNED LANDS, BROOKS --WILLAMETTE CORPORATION: At this time the Court entered into an Agreement with Brooks --Willamette Corporation to lease the following described county -owned lands, to -wit: Township 15 S., Range 13 E.W.M.: Section 10: S"— E4 containing 40 acres, more or less for an Evaporating pit and Burning pit area at the rate of $30.00 per year; from May 19, 1969 to May 19, 1970. IN THE MATTER OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: The Court at this time invites bids for the maintenance of Communications equipment for Deschutes County. Bids for this maintenance will be opened and publicly read at 10:00 a.m. P.D.T. on May 7, 1969 in the Deschutes County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse. Fifteen requirements to be met in preparation of the bid are attached to these minutes. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF 20th STREET DANA BUTLER SUBDIVISION: A Hearing was held on this lith day of April, 1969 and as there were no objections, the Court so Ordered that the portion of the 20th Street in Dana Butler Subdivision be vacated. 512 VOL 12 FACE 528 IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF AN ALLEY: The Court on April 16, 1969 held a Hearing to consider the vacation of an Alley in Laidlaw subdivision. As there were no objections to this vacation, the Court so Ordered that it be vacated. IN THE MATTER OF NEW LEASE AGREEMENT: At this time the Court entered into a lease Agreement between -Deschutes County and Robert Riemenschneider for the following described county -owned lands, to -wit: § -4 Section 25, Township 14 South, Range 11 E.W.M. The terms of this lease shall commence April 15, 1969 and continue through April 14, ;1970, a period of one year. The sum of rent to be $750.00 subject to the following condition: If a land exchange concerning the above is consummated prior to the completion of the crop season 1969 between the landlord and tenant, the annual rental due will be extinguished and the tenant would then be liable for and hereby agrees to pay the property taxes for the tax year 1969. This lease covers eighty acres of land which is to be used for the growing of potato drops and no other purpose. IN THE MATTER OF CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR: The Court at this time ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to place the name of Lester Houk on the payroll at a salary of $140.00 per month, effective May 1, 1969, as William C. James has resigned from this position. IN THE MATTER OF APPRAISER FOR ASSESSORS OFFICE: At this time the Court ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to place the name of Robert Foote on the payrollas of April 7, 1969 as Appraiser, at a salary of $550.00 per month. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF PORTION OF PLAT OF MEADOW VILLAGE: At this time the Court made Resolution for the vacation of a portion of Plat of Meadow Village and further ordered Charles L. Plummer, Deschutes County Roadmaster, to post notices of the proposed vacation of lots, blocks and streets in three (3) conspicuous places and that the date of Hearing shall be May 21, 1969, at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, in the Deschutes County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT: The Court at this time entered into an agreement with John McGaugh, Bend, Oregon, for the consideration of $1,200.00 to be paid for the removal of the following structures to bare ground by September 15, 1969: (1) The Dyer Building located at 220 Greenwood, Bend, Oregon. (2) The Tucker house located at 1021 Harriman, Bend, Oregon. (3) The garage of the residence of 153 Lafayette, Bend, Oregon. IN THE MATTER OF CONTRACT OF SALE: The Court, on April 23, 1969, entered into an Agreement with Adrian Stearns for the following described real property situate in said County of Deschutes and State of Oregon, to -wit: North 210 feet of East 210 feet of Lot 4, Sec. 31, Twp. 17 S., Range 12, E.W.M. -4- VEE 12 FACE 529 for the consideration of $400.00; $200.00 Cash down payment and the balance to be paid in two (2) payments of $100.00 each, at the rate of 7 per cent interest; one payment on October 1, 1969 and the other April 1, 1970. This is Parcel #54 of Land Sale #297. IN THE MATTER OF LEASE OF COUNTY -OWNED LANDS: The Court at this time leased to Howard V. Morgan & Rosina C. Morgan the following described county -owned lands, to -wit: Twp. 15 S., Range II E.W.M.: Sec. 9 EISE4 ( 80) Sec. 16 E#, S-z'NWJ (400) Sec. 17 SEs (160) Sec. 21 Wf, W#SE# West of fence (400) A total of 1,040 acres, more or less, from January I, 1969 to December 31, 1974 for grazing purposes, at the rate of 10 cents per acre, a total of $104.00. IN THE MATTER OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: The Court at this time invites bids for a plan of Group Insurance for the employees of Deschutes County and their eligible dependents. Bids will be opened and publicly read at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time on May 14, 1969 In the Deschutes County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse. Specifications may be secured in the County Court's office, Deschutes County Courthouse. Notice for this invitation of bids was printed in The Bulletin and Redmond Spokesman. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF EHRET ROAD: The Court at this time resolved that because of a public necessity to facilitate proper continuity between the city street extension and the realigned extension of Ehret County Road, and more properly described as follows: A strip of land sixty (60) feet in width being thirty (30) feet on each side of a center line beginning thirty (30) feet East and 108.39 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter (SW$NWJ) of Section Sixteen (16), Township Fifteen (15) South, Range Thirteen (13) East Willamette Meridian and running thence East 1290 feet more or less to the East line of the Southwest Quarter Northwest uarter (SWkNWk) of Section Sixteen (16). This Is a portion of the original Ehret Road. It .is further ordered that the Deschutes County Roadmaster, Charles L. Plummer, post notices of the proposed vacation of lots, blocks and streets in three (3) conspicuous places and that the date of Hearing shall be May 23, 1969, PDT, at 10:00 a.m., in the Deschutes County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF VACATION PAY: The Court at this time ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to issue three weeks' pay, in lieu of vacation, to William C. James; one half of his vacation pay to be drawn from Civil Defense Non -tax Fund and one half of his vacation pay to be drawn from Civil Defense in the General Fund. -5- ..UL " 12 FAuf 530 IN THE MATTER OF ASSIGNMENT OF LEASE: On the 28th day of April, 1969, the Court granted and conveyed to the United States of America through Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Department of Interior, all that lot or parcel of ground situated and lying in Deschutes County, State of Oregon, and particularly described as follows: A parcel of land lying in the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 19 South, Range 14 E.W.M., Deschutes County, Oregon. Said parcel comprises 0.36 acres. Being the same which by lease, dated the 31st day of May 1967, was demised and leased by The Western Union Telegraph Company unto Assignor for the term of approximately 30 years at and for the annual rent of One hundred and no/100 Dollars per year payable on the first day of each June in each and every year during the continuance of the same. IM THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT, ENGINEERING SERVICES: The Court at this time entered into an Agreement with Cornell, Howland, Hayes $ Merryfleld, Inc. furnishing engineering services to Deschutes County for the preparation of a Comprehensive County -wide Water and Sewer Plan, with the approval of United State of America through the Farmers Home Administration. IN THE MATTER OF PERSONNEL, ROAD DEPT. The Court at this time ordered the Clerk to place the name of Marsha Lynn Weed on the Road Department payroll as Clerk Typist II at a rate of $315.00 per month, effective May 1, 1969. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT: The Court at this time entered into an Agreement with North Century Seven, Inc., for the purpose of maintaining two information signs for a period of two (2) years, at a rental price agreed upon by the parties hereto for both signs at $30.00 per year. IN THE MATTER OF STUDIO ROAD: The Court at this time made Resolution for the establishment of Studio Road, described as follows, to wit: That portion of the Old Powell Butte-Paulina Creek Road and more commonly known as Studio Road, the right-of-way being sixty (60) feet in width, thirty (30) feet each side of the center line; more properly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the center of the Butler Market Road South 650-31*west 228.77 feet from the center of the Northeast Quarter (1/4) of Section twenty-eight (28), township seventeen (17) South Range twelve (12) East Willamette Meridian and running thence North 88° 06' 30" West 80.85 feet; thence on a ten (10) degree curve to the left for 74.5 feet, the central angle being 7° 27'; thence South 88° 26' 30" West 180.97 feet; thence on a ten (10) degree curve to the left for 50.3 feet, the central angle being 50 02'; thence South 83° 24' 30" West 98.89 feet thence on a ten (10) degree curve to the left for 49.4 feet, the central angle being 40 56' 30"; thence South 78° 28' West 2.81 feet; thence on a ten (10) degree curve to the left for 49.2 feet, the central angle being 4055'; thence South 730 336 West 268.77 feet; thence on a thirty (30) degree curve to the VU 1.2 PAGE 531 left for 100.07 feet; the central angle being 30°13'; thence South 43° 20' West 169.12 feet; thence on a twenty (20) degree curve to the left for 66.83 feet; the central angle being 130 221; thence South 290 58' West 171.98 feet; thence on a twenty (20) degree curve to the left for 55.33 feet; the central angle being 110 04'; thence South 180 54' West 399.41 feet; thence on a twenty (20) degree curve to the right for 67.08 feet; the central angle being 13° 25'; thence South 32° 19' West 127.26 feet; thence on a ten (10) degree curve to the left for 256.16 feet; the central angle being 250371; thence South 6° 42' West 241.95 feet; thence on a ten (10) degree curve to the right for 110.0 feet; the central angle being 110 001; thence South 170 42' West 510.70 feet; thence on a twelve (12) degree curve to the right for 260.84 feet the central angle being 310 181; thence South 490 00' West 99.95 feet; thence on a thirty (30) degree curve to the left for 164.33 feet; the central angle being 490 18'; thence South 00 18' East 582.36 feet along fourth (4th) Street in the City of Bend to the North line of Revere Street. And it was further ordered that the County Roadmaster or his duly qualified deputy, shall give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof, properly certified to as such by the County Clerk, at the place of holding County Court and also at three public places in the vicinity of said proposed road, thirty days previous to the consideration of this Resolution, and the 4th day of June, 1969 is the time the Court will consider any objections or remonstrances which may be filed on account of said proposed road. FSE 532 IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLATION OF ACCESS: The Court at this time granted a permit to Robert Smith to install an access on or across Deschutes County right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF PIPER DRIVE: The Court at this time made Resolution for the intention to establish a county road in Deschutes County, Oregon described as follows, to -wit: A tract of land sixty (60) feet in width, being thirty (30) feet on either side of a center line, located in the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section Three (3), Township Eighteen (18) South, Range Twelve (12) East Willamette Meridian, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point whence the North quarter corner of said Section Three (3) bears North 57" 39' 44" East, 748.33 feet and on the Easterly right-of-way line of a Sixty (60) foot public road known as Cessna Drive; thence South 800 34' 27" East, 371 feet; thence a fifty (50) foot right-of-way being twenty-five (25) feet on either side bearing South 211 16' 22" West, 553.50 feet more or less; thence North 890 40' 29" West, 22 feet more or less to the center point of a cul-de-sac having a radius of 52.50 feet, for roadway purposes. And it was further ordered that the County Roadmaster or his duly qualified deputy, shall give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof, properXly certified to as such by the County Clerk, at the place of holding County Court and also at three public places in the vicinity of said proposed road, thirty days previous to the consideration of this Resolution, and the 4th day of June, 1969 being.the time and day the Court will consider any ob- jections or remonstrances which may be filed on account of said proposed road.
